Even though the originals father made it in the end, its like james wrote this for Iam. The acoustic version hits deeper and you can hear his heart pour out, his soul crying, and a man trying to keep his father’s memories alive.

For the same version as iam play tune your guitar 2 steps down to DGCFAD (hack : put capo on 2nd fret and use tuning app to lower back to standart tuning and then remove capo) AND THE CHORDS ARE : C Am F G + Than you can do all those cool hammer ons :)

Hey Aviz, if you tune down “2 steps” your tuning would be C,F,Bflat,Eflat,G,C and so to play along with Iam using the key of “C” you’d need capo on 2nd fret. To truly play it exactly as Iam does you need to tune down a step and a half (or 3 frets) then capo on fret one to play it in “C”

my mom has a lung cancer which is probably gonna kill her in a few months because the treatments do not work... if you are familiar with the song lips of an angel by hinder you'll need to detune everyone of your string down one whole step which means two semitone. E becomes D A becomes G D becomes C G becomes F B becomes A and the high e becomes d that's the exact tone that tongi used, try it

😂 Oh they’re the notes of the open strings! Haha I thought you were trying to name chords. So you’re almost there - but Iam’s tuning would be (from low to high strings): C# F# B E G# C# Then capo on 1st fret. Hope that helps

Spot on! Correct 🙌 Capo on first fret and then play the chords I’m teaching here and you will be in the original key of his performance. In this tutorial I’ve tuned his vocals down.

Good observation! Yes it changes the key. But the tricky part here is that his guitar is also tuned down 🫠 so it adds to the confusion lol

No - different chords because he's tuned his guitar WAY down. So these chords are for people who don't want to tune down. Play the chords in the tutorial and put a capo on fret 1 and you'll be in the same key.

In leading to the relative minor (F#m)? Best option for that would be an E/G# (E chord with a G# in the bass) Another cool sounding option (that obvs is not in the song lol) is a C#7.

He is playing in C but with capo on first fret (so C#) but in actuality it’s A# SO… he is tuned down a tone and a half.

@@marquispalmer5975 at 6:12 I teach the strum pattern. And it’s just as good as the intro one. The intro play through only has a very slight variation that is not worth learning, promise

Dunno if you watched the video lol but I explain that he uses a capo and tunes his whole guitar down. This is a version to play it without having tune your guitar down as it's difficult for beginners to do and not great for your guitar in general. Hope this helps

If you watch the video I explain that Iam has his guitar tuned way down. If you want to re-tune your whole guitar you can but it’s a nightmare process. Or you can play it like I do and use a capo on first fret to get you to the same key he plays it in. I know this will be hard to understand for beginners sorry
