Background:
Monsters & Memories started as a discussion between MMO fans during a series of livestreams, about what it would be like to create a niche, smaller budget / indie game, in the style of a Classic Fantasy MMORPG, but utilizing modern day tools and game development practices.

"Imagine we have a skybox"... got a bit emotional as the video progressed from there. Putting myself in your shoes, what an amazing achievement coming this far and having your team grow organically out of mere passion for what the community has be asking for 20+ years. I'll parrot what everyone else has said that we are with you and support the direction this project is going in. You have a loyal fanbase and people that are always happy to contribute and help build with you, shoulder to shoulder. Draekos here... couldn't agree more with my twin brother, Class&Cool. Monsters & Memories has been the apple of my eye since day one and there was something that felt "special" about it from the very beginning. Hey Class&Cool, didn't you finally create your YT channel due to your obsession with M&M? Why don't you wipe those tears away and go make some more videos to support this project. They deserve every bit of positive press they can get.

Been following since there were capsules in the game, so it's hard to see how much progress has been made a lot of the time. This really brings it into perspective. Very exciting!

Call me weird but i think the game looks beautiful lol. I love the oldschool low poly stuff. I was always a sucker for pixel art etc. I still think EQOA looks great lol, stylized art speaks to me more than face melting realism, most people think it looks like poop. 🤷‍♂

Looks amazing so far.. the only thing that concerns me is the scale of the game. From level size to amount of races/classes, etc i hope it doesn't end up being more than you guys can handle. I think most of us would be happy with less, then expand. Classic EQ zone sizes were great, for example, imo. Anyway, great work. Can't wait to see what you guys accomplish

Heya! We appreciate the healthy concern on that front. All of the dates and info we've put out in our Early Access FAQ are based on our current understanding of the production cost/time of zones, characters, classes, etc. So, if you like what you're seeing so far, that's what we're currently hammering on. If we ever feel that it's too much, we'll scale back and let you guys know.

Love the vision and game design. There is a trend in multiplayer games now to "min/max" and find a group make up to "cleave" down all the monsters making content trivial. Does your team have awareness of this behavior and are you doing anything to ensure a variety of group make ups using the intended classes rather than say for example a group of all 1 type of dps class and 1 healer? I could think of a few ways to combat this by having abilities by each class type that is required to be used to survive encounters or without the abilities make the encounters extremely inefficient. For instances, maybe the encounter dies very very slowly to pure dps unless an ability reduces the armor, or the monster does extreme amounts of damage without being slowed, the monsters cannot be killed by aoe (dps extremely with all monsters awake), magic debuffs required or damage shield will kill the entire group. etc etc etc
