They were referring to Shimu or maybe some other unknown kaiju, but there isn't any evidence of Spacegodzilla being in the MonsterVerse.

Why would he do that? That axe is pretty useful in battles, and Godzilla could probably still charge Kong's axe despite being in his evolved form, but it's already confirmed in the movie, that Godzilla evolved to get overall stronger for future fights, and to make it easier to fight Skar King and Shimo.

According to Google, a "form" also means: A particular way in which a thing exists or appears; a manifestation. So a form actually just means what you look like physically. It isn't just a temporary strength multiplier. But you're half right I guess.

Godzilla 2000 / Millennium Godzilla is a different universe. I needed them to only react to the reason why Legendary Godzilla is pink. They weren't supposed to see other Godzillas from different universes.

Dude that's not just normal fire. It's a bunch of highly condensed atomic energy that shoots from his mouth. Godzilla's atomic breath takes the color of whatever color his spikes/dorsal plates glow.

Thermonuclear wouldn't be black. It would look like oil or smoke, and Legendary studios knows white doesn't look good on MonsterVerse Godzilla. The pink is a reference to Godzilla in 2000.
