Another Spine Race event has come to a close. Only 45% of those who entered the full-length race made it to the finish line. After just under 155hrs on the Pennine Way National Trail, the last of those heroes arrived 52 minutes before the final cut-off.
In this episode, we accompany those last finishers across the line, and Will from the Spine Media Team reflects on the events of the last 8 days.
We’ll see you in Winter 2025.

I'm not an endurance runner or even walker but watching these videos and following you on SM has been wonderful. I love the fact that you celebrate the people at the back of the pack as much as the people at the front. Awesome.. thank you

My first summer working at the Border Hotel and I loved being a part of this event ❤not the actual race ,but as a witness to a fantastic atmosphere and looking after you all at the hotel well done I’ve enjoyed every day this week ,brilliant event best wishes to all ❤

Well done everyone even if you didn't finish the race the commitment to start is more than enough to be celebrated This is one event where there are no losers.

Loved every minute of this event,I've followed it avidly,saw 4 of the competitors near Horton on Monday and talked to some of the back-up team who were chillin in 3 Peaks Bunkhouse at the time...seeing what goes on behind the scenes really enlightened me . A MASSIVE WELL DONE to all who took part and everyone else involved in any way....2nd weekend in January 2025 I'll be urging everyone on ,stood by Black Moss Res above Marsden, probably shivering but at the same time realising these are VERY SPECIAL people who are made if tough stuff. Seriously can't wait. The narration is also compelling
