One of pen with cult status among many pen lovers is Montblanc Meisterstück 149. Wanted by many, loved by huge crowds, and hated by some too. I will not discuss it's role in history of fountain pens, or deliberate if it is worth the price, not even go to deep into writing performance. I am interested in Montblanc Meisterstück 149 because it is one of most wanted pens in urushi. I t is not offered by Montblanc in this option, unlike its competitor - Pelikan Souveran M1000.
As a bonus - 149 I show is Calligraphy Special Edition with Expression flexible nib.
I am going to lacquer several Montblancs 149 as well as Pelikan M1000. In this video I show different versions of 149 (Calligraphy, "normal" 149 from 70ties with double broad nib), and compare it with 146, 142 and Pelikan M1000. I also show how to disassemble it, and prepare for lacquering or just cleaning.
