I actually tried this recipe. Albeit with a few modifications, and it turned out to be delicious!! Since I didn't have paprika I substituted cayenne pepper. And since I live close to where there's a Japanese supermarket I was able to substitute Japanese mayo (less sugar) and some Japanese bakery bread, which has a slightly softer texture than American bread. At some Japanese bakeries you can buy their bread thin or thick sliced. The thick slice is about the same as Texas toast style. The thinner bread is about the same as American bread. I also used Swiss cheese instead of Gruyere cheese. I think I'm gonna add a little sharp cheddar the next time I make one of these.
