Spent some time fixing a few minor mechanical issues. Well I guess the boat taking on water isn't really a minor issue but you know what I mean. Trim and tilt rams are all fixed and no longer leaking anymore. The transom leak is much more manageable now. Still has a little trickle that I'll continue to look into. Planning to use a endoscope to get under the motor and see the leak. I think all that's really left to complete on this boat is a good interior deep clean and some other cosmetic things. Hope your enjoying!

It's a great boat, Brian. I really dig that baby! You've done a ton... and looks like you've still got some work ahead of you. I'm really looking forward to seeing it done, and rolling across the Lake! Keep on it, and all the best!

After watching this I don't know if I'm motivated to continue working on my boats or depressed enough to screw them and go grilling instead 😆

@@brianbluemkejr I know, a boat project takes a lot of work and time (and money) but it all pays back when you launch it for the firts time and everything works as intended)

Love your vlogs from the other side if the pond! Great shame you're not gonna have her planing this season. Question with the last tiny leak and this could be stupid but, should there be a gasket ring around the drain plug as is that where its coming in?

So no gasket on the drain plug however I have put teflon tape on them in the past just in case. The leak is coming from above that drain plug near the transom plate. It’s so hard to see back there with the motor still installed. I have an endoscope camera I’m going to try and use to get a better look down there this week. Thank you for all the support and hope you’re enjoying the channel!

Did you check the bellows that the gear cable runs through. They dry rot and crack, this will allow water to pass through. Gear cable and exhaust bellows. Check both of them

So I actually just replaced all the bellows in the previous video except the exhaust below. The shift bellow was ripped in 2. It is leaking somewhere near that transom plate but appears to be coming from below the driveshaft on the starboard side, which is where the shift bellow is. I’ll double check that again and if I can’t see anything I’ll dip it back in the lake and try the endoscope to get a better look. Thank you for the feedback!

U doing good mate but just a few rules with boats i can clear up for ya. NEVER us normal steel anything s.steel only. If its raw timber paint, seal it, or dont use it. Always use marine grease (water proof) on motor nuts, bolts, spacers, prop shaft, trailer bearings etc. When useing quick grip paint both surfaces allow to tack then stick together. When using fiberglassing use lots of resin on boat/timber first. When using gel coat or paint dont be stingy, lay it on thick if u need more buy more. Love ur work.

i think you are good for the fiber glass and those things around but when it came to mechanics will be more convenient if you send it to a mechanic , in the end you will spend more money doing your self and have to do it again than pay a mechanic

Totally get that but in the end I won’t learn anything from it taking it to someone else to fix it for me. I enjoy the challenge of it and like learning how things work and how to repair them myself.
