Today we’re Metal detecting the beach in Southern California with ‪@piratemikestreasure‬ ! It was day 1 of an awesome trip with so much gold! I know I forgot some items in the wrap up… too much treasure to keep track of!

It’s always a fun time with Pirate Mike! I think they tightened his loose screws for him 🤣. I know I forgot the half dollar, the nickel, and one of the gold rings. I was trying to film 4 days worth of wrap ups and got mixed up. 🤪

Those Southern California beaches get year round use, and the summers are insanely packed. Nothing like the beaches in my area. Definitely worth the 400 mile drive 😂

We almost did a few nights 🤣 They kick us out at 10pm unfortunately. We went back at least 7 more times and had good luck. Next time I’m definitely getting Uber Eats to the beach 😂

Great hunt! If your 1925 Buffalo nickel is one of the error nickels it can be worth $2k. How you get it checked out by a coin dealer👍

Those SoCal cuts are something special. And those beaches get super crowded in the summer. I saw Marina state beach cut like that once when I was little, but that was the only time. I think it was during El Niño in the 90’s

@@MontereyMagnetMan Not sure how much traffic Marina gets, but it likely low compared to socal beaches. It always seems like there's always a good socal beach with a huge cut producing a ton of gold. First and only encounter with a solid cut that was kinda comparable, was tide ave, and that was tiny when compared to the cut in your recent vid!

Thank you! I’d recommend the Minelab X-Terra Pro. It’s a relatively cheap machine but I’ve seen it in action and it’s impressive. I think it retails for around $250

I like the Deus 2 the best. The Equinox 900 is too unreliable on the VDI. Everything sounds like iron… except iron.

Am glad that you're getting good results with your Deus2. I accidentally did a Manticore setting (that I can't remember/reproduce) that found 75 coins including 10 nickels (12 hours) in COMPLETELY black sand. So, I know that Manticore (maybe the 700/900 too?) CAN be tuned for iron sand. 😃

I needed headphones so I could hear the detector over the wind and waves, as well as not to disturb the other people I was hunting with. Also I’ve been getting a ton of complaints about having audible pitch tones in my videos. I called out nearly every number on each target… or at least tried to. 🤷‍♂️

We really enjoy your videos. My wife and I have the 900 and the Deuss 2 as well and you are fun to watch. We just don’t really watch videos that we can’t hear and see or hear the numbers anymore. It’s just not entertaining. We just hope it won’t be the norm as some have chose.

I got my wrap ups mixed up because I was trying to film 5 at once. I grabbed that bracelet on accident that will be in the next video. I used to post when I found something like that, but too many scammers reply. If someone come to me with the correct info I’ll give it back.

Be my tester. Try ws6 headphones (quick tip- fold the back part toward your neck) if you find them more comfortable that way, use them and let me know if wind/waves are an issue. Thx, Nice hunt btw
