For the record, they aren’t part of the county Fire and Rescue Services. respond to MoCo and NW DC calls (the areas adjacent to Chevy Chase) fire and rescue service. They are a nonprofit funded by donations. We’ve been supporting them since I was little.

They are integrated in the loca emergency system (i.e., they’ll be called out when you call 911).

They’ve responded to our building when the fire alarm goes off (b/c some people try to stuff the washing machines to the brim and overheat the motor).
