After I posted this video, I started to get a bunch of comments. And I am very glad that my videos cause such a return from you, and I am always happy to create for you. BUT. I also received a bunch of insults addressed to me and to other people. And honestly, I'm tired, tired of reading all this dirt. There were also people who completely misinterpreted my words under the video and began to believe that I made this video only because he was gay, handsome, and in general I just needed that beautiful face and then everything could be forgiven for the characters. I’m very upset that people don’t read what I write and don’t understand what idea I put into this video. And over the past 2 days, I’m honestly tired, tired of writing the same thing, clarifying my point of view. Know that I am glad for every comment, especially if it is reasoned and justified, whatever it is - negative or positive. But I just can't read the insults anymore. Honestly, I was so sad when he died...He had such amazing potential for the interesting change of character. I felt like Winston was a very good influence on him, and maybe Monty saw it in him. I am not saying Montey was a good guy, what he did to Tyler was a horrible thing, and yes he should be punished for that, and only for that, but there was no need to kill him. Such a shame, I shed a tear when his father came to see him and they had their talk. As his father was another whole level of craziness, kind of felt for Monty, because everyone should have a loving supporting father. BTW: such a good representation of inner homophobia I knew it a long time ago that Monty had this secret, since season 1, they knew what they were doing, sad that we won´t see what could have happened if he left the jail.

It's sad actually that he couldn't even say that he loved his friend who died... Think about it. You're really confused with your identity and ashamed of it, your father beats you up instead of loving you and the only thing you have is sport and friends who abuse women... You want to be accepted and respected by others, you have so much hate from never being loved and you learned that you have to be tough and acting abusively for being "a real man". Although Monty was one of the most cruel characters from the serie, I still think that Bryce was worse. Monty had a lot of rage and even though he was extremely violent with Tyler and should have never done what he did, I feel like he hurt another human being not for his personal sexual needs like Bryce, but for his anger and need to punch and hurt someone. Don't get me wrong! What Monty did was extremely cruel and I even cried after seeing this scene with Tyler... But Monty and Bryce are not alike. Bryce is a rich teenager who always got everything he wanted and raped SEVERAL girls because he didn't care about consent and other people's feelings. Monty had a difficult childhood with beatings all the time, no love, no self-esteem, bad influence from jocks and temper problems. He raped Tyler with a mop to hurt him, not because he had sexual pulsions like Bryce. Monty should have gone to the Alternative Solving Solutions that Tyler and Cyrus had to go to. I also wonder why he used to go to school with a broken arm or even a black eye after being beaten with a hammer and nobody never said anything. Monty should have had support and help from school to get away from this abusive home, exactly like Justin should have had help since he was a child, had no food and no clean clothes when he was at school and got a junkie mother.

monty seems like the only character we didn’t get a backstory on. we know his dad beat him, and that’s pretty much it. he was always so closed about his emotions and never opened up. i don’t think he was a bad guy. i think he was scared, and broken, and since he had never been loved before he didn’t know how to love other people. truly hope he is somehow in season 4. would love to learn more about who he was and why he was that way.

I think it's hard to hate a person when you actually start knowing them, no matter how fucked up they are. Doesn't make anything they did wrong, right. You dont have to like the character/person, it's just that you can't hate them anymore.

See there are big differences and similarities between Monty and Bryce. They are similar in a way that they are both were nurtured to be the way they were. Unlike what Bryce said about it "being in his genes" . It was actually just taught from generation to generation instead of it being a "Congenital defect". They are also similar in a way that they dealt with their issues with Violence. Though their methods were somewhat different. They are different because Monty knew from the beginning that what he did was wrong, where as Bryce, genuinely didn't realize what he did was wrong. Also Bryce thought that friendship, respect and loyalty could be bought. Where as Monty thought he needed to be the strongest or the scariest to earn that respect. Both of those things were taught by their fathers. Another difference is that Bryce wanted people to pay attention to him. He graved the attention, needed it , because apparently he wasn't getting that kind at home, at least not from his father. Where as Monty did every to deflect the attention. He didn't want people to get too close and pay attention because he was afraid they would know his secret. And lose all the "respect" they had for him. His violence was to keep people at a distance. While Bryce's was the "keep friends close, but enemies closer" kind of guy. Their biggest similarity is that, because their issues were both Nuture based, they both had a good shot to be taught differently. To be better. To change. If both just had been given the chance to do so.

I think the writers should’ve gone into more detail about his life, it would’ve been better, I cried at the prom scene 💗

My fisrt day of high school is tomorrow and I just finished watching season 3 in one day and it’s 3:48am and school starts at 8:30am

The two most complex characters, Monty and Bryce, turned out to be my favorites coming out of this season. Those two weren't evil and cruel people because they wanted to, Bryce became that way because his father gave him everything he wanted, and thought he deserved it all, and tried stepping away from that and instead of using his money and power for selfish use he used it to try and help the people who he wronged and he felt needed to be helped by him. Now monty is super complex. He was a closeted boy who grew up around a homophobic father, who would beat him. The amount of rage he has because he can't accept who he is because of his father is crazy. He's cruel and evil because he can't show the world what he really is, and masks that with his anger and hatred. Both these characters childhoods forged them this way, and it's not their fault. I'm not saying what these two did was right, but Bryce tried to change, and Monty was given the worst circumstance in the world. Ion why I wrote all this stuff but I just wanted to explain that these characters have insane depth to them

Monty was a fascinating character - and I really shocked myself when I got all choked at finding he was dead and then what Winston said - I think for maybe the first time in that last episode I saw that there could have been a good, gritty story there, Winston helping to drag Monty back from the person that he had become, which was an awful person, yes, but there were a lot of people and factors to blame for that

In my opinion, he was an interesting character, and certain things led him to behave like that, even if wrong. He did not deserve such a death and above all he did not deserve to be blamed for a murder not committed.

I understand why monty is the way he is, but NO trauma, none, should lead you to treat Tyler how he did. There is no excuse for that and it’s disturbing that people seem to be making excuses for him because he’s beautiful and has the ‘damaged’ stereotype.

I can admit that I feel bad for him, but not because of how he died or because he was blamed and etc. I feel sorry for him because he had potential and he could’ve been a good guy under all that anger and gullibleness. He followed Bryce and watched him and became this monster. Justin was that guy once and he’s still struggling but he’s a better person, a nicer and sweeter person. Montgomery could’ve been that. He should’ve been that, but instead he chose that darker path.

WTF, I can’t believe this dude can full on destroy another person, violate them physically, emotionally, essentially steal their piece of mind for potentially the rest of their life & still be considered ‘interesting’ or ‘worthy of love because he’s human too.’ He did the same thing Bryce did & yet cos he lived a worse life, his behaviour is justified?! The mind boggles, especially because you know what else is human, basing a person’s merit based on the things they do and say & Monty did something that can NEVER be taken back.
