Months after shooting, where is the “KC Strong” fund money?

Three months have passed since the mass shooting that followed the Chiefs Super Bowl parade and rally that ended outside Union Station and victims have yet to see the money from the fund that was set up to help them.

I worked with a man circa 2000 who had the opportunity to go to “the boss” of United Way KC’s office. He said once he saw how lavish that office was, he no longer donated to that charity.

United Way never helps. My mom needed help with 2 little kids who are disabled (I was 9 and been disabled since I was 4, I'm 38 now) and they turned her away.

I feel like the money should go to the kids that got hit by stray bullets and not to the rival gang members that were being shot at because they were part of the altercation.

I'm betting that's why the prosecutor's office is involved. But, regardless, it shouldn't slow down the payment of medical bills if that is the United Way's stated goal.

Have victims submit medical bills and documented lost wages that were due to their injuries caused by the shooting. None of those people should be given any money beyond that. This isn't a Gofundme.
