It's wonderfully generous of Justin to share these videos for free and talk about them in his usual personal and highly personable way. One of the greatest songwriters the world has ever seen, and a singer/guitarist of equal esteem.

@@victoriachinavare5535 if you consider Justin's canon, particularly his early compositions, they are amongst the greatest in all of popular music. Intricate, emotional, highly creative, and, above all, totally original. You can't compare Nights In White Satin, Story In Your Eyes, Tuesday Afternoon, Gypsy, Meanwhile, Are You Sitting Comfortably? or any of his other great songs to the work of any other writer... and certainly the usual "Lennon/McCartney" comparisons don't apply. Everything has his own unmistakable and unique mark on it, and that's an incredibly rare thing in music, where most artists' influences can be fairly easily heard, or at least comparisons are not too difficult. Justin totally forged his own path.

Time To Wake Up yes very true but see all these type of singers sing properly and not over stretching the vocal chords or literary shouting the words like Roger Daltrey does nearly all the heavier Rock singers think or seem to want to shout their vocals and the ones in their 70’s now their voices are shot because of the style of music they still try and sing, That’s why the bands or solo artists that do more sensitive material will always keep their voices 👍😀

What a beautiful version of one of my very favorite MB songs. I played in a cover band in the '70s and we played Question and Nights on stage, but when we would gather for practice and warm-up, we played this and Out and In often. Tom our bass player at the time loved to sing both and did them very well. Our two youngest members have passed away but despite our best efforts to kill ourselves through substance abuse Tom and I are still kicking. I became substance-free in 1988 and Tom is doing his best a day at a time today. He is still my best friend today despite the many miles between us. I love him dearly and remember those sessions fondly.

When I really start missing Justin, I come here to Moodies' channel. It was fantastic for those Tuesday Afternoon's one-song concert and then having us have to wait an entire week for his next song. I can see so vividly things that he describes in this song. I feel sadness in there that he loves to travel and do his gigs and she misses him the 7 to 9 months that he is gone but he assures her that she is always on his mind and she, and only she has his heart. She sits in her window gloomy due to it is raining and it is raining where he is and through the miles that they are separated, they are together with the rain. Such a lovely song with lovely words. No one is wrong in what he and she want, because their love will keep them together. It must be hard being married to a musician who loves doing gigs throughout the world year after year. I would not be able to handle it. Of course there are the modern conveniences of seeing each other, but nothing takes the place of feeling warm arms around you, listening to the tone of his voice as he whispers in your ear, and as they go to sleep at night, they are wrapped in each other's arms all the night through. Journey is the first group which caused me to think of a musician's life of traveling (Faithfully) while his love sits at home waiting for her love to return to her.

"This garden universe, vibrate complete. Some we got a sound so sweet..." My father, born 1949, took Days of future passed to our small village after he bought it in the big record-store in Stockholm. His mother lived there and our family lived 20 swedish miles north. As a guitar-player this is the song that my father has played the most. We (my sisters and I) got to be the choir. This song has that mystic-Moody-feeling, that "fairy-dust" that Ray Thomas talked about. Moody Blues has been and will always be a big part of our lives. To our children's children's children as we now are four generations listening. My fathers grand doughters-doughter's favourite song is "Twilight time". Justin, if you read this, say hello to my father Thomas.

The vocal and flute harmonies. No wonder you mentioned that before the tape rolled.

Another poet extraordinaire.I love his voice. He is in that rare class of a singer from the 60's whose voice is still as good now as it was then.

I saw Justin Hayward a month ago in Hastings. I'm 66 and it was a dream come true. He was amazing. He transported me to such a happy time in my life.

1968: This has always been a kind of go-to song to show just how great a songwriter Justin is. And every time I see it performed, it takes me back to a time that's now long gone. Thanks for the backstory.

Justin, thank you so much for these Tuesday Afternoon gifts! Hearing these scaled-down, intimate performances of my favorite songs AND getting stories about each of them has been a priceless treasure to me at a time when I really need something to look forward to every week. Thank you!

Each time I listen it transports me to a timeless place, especially for me now that I have seen it played live after all these years it kind of unites my feeling between how it felt then, and how it feels now. These days I only play the Moody Blues when I'm driving, sometimes I get my car out when I don't need to go anywhere just to get that 'listening to Moody Blues whilst driving' kick.. I'd love to hear 'New Horizon' live - is my new hope.
