The reason underrated is because MOST OF US ignored this future outcome. The outcome of near possible energy crisis, 2 degrees of Global Warming passing the tipping point and rapid paced extinction level event of species of animals in the planet. Although those are summary in the movie, it glimpsed us nearing to our stupidity in changing our ways.

Humanity is subjective. If we turn to science, everything that exist, from people, animals, plants, rocks, sand, the moon, gravity, clouds, etc etc, were at one point in time part of the singularity we call the big bang with no real distinction from one part to the next. Differences only come about from the differences in lived experience and arrangements of molecules. At the end of the day, the same molecules that make up the keyboard or phone your typing on are the same as those that make up the hand you're typing with. This is a general western translation of indigenous philosophy.

@@noconaroubideaux9423 though science falls short of proving that- in fact, it doesn't even try to. That conclusion lies at the end of assuming that the only things out there are what we understand. So, at the end of the day... We never know for sure, do we? :)
@asideofaioli4630
@asideofaioli4630 4 жыл бұрын
@@tomgeytenbeek2207 Very true. I think many forget that science doesn't prove what doesn't exist. It proves, with it's best ability, what _does_ or can exist. And one 'known' or theory doesn't unequivocally negate the possibility of another. It's impossible for humans to know 100% what can't or doesn't exist. Because we are never operating at 100% capacity of knowledge, regardless of how close (yeah, I know, that's quite paradoxical). Such situations are merely an example of what we don't yet know. That's why I get frustrated. Because science should truly be one of the most humble of subjects. Yet that's not the reality conveyed by so many relaying or indulging in it.

I've always felt it would be interesting for clones to not go through the trope of turning on each other because they both think the other is the fake and they the original, or going through some kind of existential crisis. But rather realizing that they are each their own person with their own minds and freedom to choose their own destinies, resulting in two or more people who may look alike, but forge their own unique personalities and become more like siblings than rivals. For all the hokey ridiculousness of the movie 'The Sixth Day' with the typical campiness of a Schwartznegger film, the ending scene where The Two Arnold's are going their separate ways, the clone refers to the wife and daughter as the original's family and not his own, but the original tells him they are just as much his family too, showing that even if he's a clone, he's not any less of a person and his connection to all of them makes him family.

This is actually one of the first of the many old movies I binge watched I think 7-8 years ago! Really glad Moon is a really good movie. It got me more into scifi movies. Was wondering if you're planning to make a movie about Sunshine since it quite fits in with the movies you've mentioned in the film. Also, I really felt bad that Nestle is doing that despite the good image they put out.

The thought of clones freak me out. I don't know why but thinking of a clone of me makes me feel dread. Like I'm being replaced. When I watched this movie it just made my fear of cloning feel justified because this poor man... Men? These clones have the memory of the original and feels the same feeling for their wife and daughter only to realize they have been living on with out them, with the real character. Sends chills down my spine. Being forgotten. Being left alone. The world and your loved ones moving on with out you. How could you not be scared of the idea? It was a very well made movie and as you can tell I felt strongly when the characters felt. The actor was amazing and the movie was just well made. I thought about this movie for a very long time after

The problem with renewable energy like solar or wind is that it's impossible to run a city off it, nuclear is the best bet currently. There is also the problem of storing the energy batteries are not clean to make and are extremely bad for the environment.
