Actually Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper were quite older than Xianyun than they seem to appear. They both are the closest companions of Rex Lapis for a very long time.

I don't know what to tell you but these adepti mostly just like goofing around, there one time Moon Craver being sore loser because he lost to cloud retainer and want a rematch. At end of day, they're just like ordinary people with godlike power, after years of service- I think they deserve to cut some slack. Have a little fun and enjoyment in simple things.
