Who do you want to see in the Midnight Sons?

I appreciate how you started a trend among the "Easter Egg" channels of digging a bit into themes, analysis and deeper meanings of the media you scour for details. Also I appreciate that your comedy is surreal and silly -- but you're not always yelling. Finally, I appreciate your mom. Tell Doug he's a very good boy for me.

I really like these ideas. Especially Blade putting together the team after Wanda has used the Darkhold to unleash Chaos on the world causing a rise in more supernatural creatures. Maybe Doctor Strange could act as sort of an advisor to the team or someone they can go to for help on lifting spells. Dracula I think would work better as the villain for the solo Blade movie, but then they miss the opportunity to recreate the Moon Knight meme. Lilith being the Midnight Sons first enemy and leading up to Mephisto being the ultimate threat would be amazing. This team up is what I'm most excited to see in the MCU and there is so much coming, so that's saying a lot.

I’ve been saying this, the Midnight Sons are pretty much guaranteed to happen at this point my theory is after the Multiverse of Madness Doctor Strange will see just how vulnerable the world is to supernatural threats so he starts assembling the Midnight Sons and leaves the role of leader to Blade while he leaves to deal with Avenger level threats he supervises the Midnight Suns

Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight, Mahershala Ali’s Blade, Gael García Bernal’s Werewolf by Night, Kit Harington’s Black Knight, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, and Norman Reedus’ Ghost Rider forming The Midnight Sons team would be so awesome!!!

I like the idea of Strange popping in from time to time to guide the Midnight Sons or give them missions like Charlie's Angels style but, you know, all mystical

I would like to see: Moonknight, Blade, Black Knight, Morbius, and Ghost Rider with Agatha Harkness coming in as a consultant.

It makes the most sense to me for Blade to be bringing a team together to fight Dracula and his army, but there could easily be a twist partway through where we find out that Dracula is trying to bring back Lilith for some reason or other.

I want the starting Midnight Sons team to be this composition: Dr. Strange, Moon Knight, Blade, Ghost Rider (Johnny), Black Knight, Werewolf by Night, Elsa Bloodstone. Then in future films, whether it be solo projects for other characters or a Midnight Sons sequel, add the likes of Hannibal King, Daimon Hellstrom, and introduce Danny Ketch’s Ghost Rider. In regards to villains, this would be my trilogy structure: 1st: Lilith 2nd: Chthon 3rd: Mephisto

I hope Blade shows up at the end of Moon Knight.

A Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night team up would be really cool!

What if the reason blade is getting involved is because when thanos snapped he took out half of all “life”? Are vampires considered life? If not then that would have made a major infestation of supernatural beings.

If AoS is made Canon, it means that the Ghost Rider will have been in the MCU for a while. Note Coulson's line when Daisy talked asked how Robbie Reyes could come back. "The previous ghost rider did" And we know Robbie got his power from Johny Blaze, note the bike he rides and the iconic skull.

If Blade is the Fury to the Midnight Sons, then Dr Strange is the Tony Stark. He can supply them with knowledge as well as spells and magical weapons to face their supernatural foes.

I like Film Theory's idea that "Marvel Knights" will be the moniker for an R-rated MCU movie and that it'd be helmed by Moon Knight and whatever "darker" heroes the MCU intro's later like Blade; maybe the Midnight Sons!

The motivation for making blade integral is pretty obvious considering the huge success of black panther. People want black superheroes, and that’s cool. Also would make a lot of sense to do something with Deadpool based on how successful those movies were. I do wonder how they would pull this off alongside other heroes though, given that Deadpool is shot way different than the other movies, like breaking the 4th Wall or the scenes where they prioritize his face/expressions in a sequence. He is definitely the star of his own world.

Now, of course it makes sense from Kevin Feige etc perspective to split the MCU heroes into the different factions you always point out (multiverse, street level and supernatural) but what are your thoughts on there being a council within the MCU that decides who takes on which threats? So like Blade, Sam and Strange maybe sit down and go "you take this, you do this" sort of stuff

I actually really want to see an interaction between Dr. Strange and Steven/Marc/Jake! Especially after the whole "move the sky" thing. I know Stange is busy right now and can't actually use his medical degree to help Moon Knight, but he could give him some insight on tampering with powers unknown and if Strange insists on him getting psychiatric help, they'd fight! Moon knight could escape by a hair and he'd be more unstable than ever (probably, I'm not a writer).

Great theory. I am disappointed in myself for not recognizing that Blade was playing the Nick Fury role. But I don't think a witch could be on the team and it still be the Midnight Sons. I could see Agatha as Mystical Consultant. I could imagine that Ammit gets resoructed in MoonKnight and Blade forming the Midnight Sons to send her back.

I think they'll include Agatha both for representation and because she's effing bonkers lol

So now that Laura Donnelly is confirmed to be Elsa Bloodstone in Werewolf by Night, I think this is even more plausible. As for other women for the team, I do think Agatha is likely, but I'd also love to see Nico Minoru (A.K.A. Sister Grimm) or Magik. Both have been featured on the big screen before, and after Multiverse of Madness, I think it'd be possible to bring one of them into the main MCU. I'd love a chance to see Anya Taylor-Joy bring Magik to life again on such a badass team. I wouldn't mind Clea either. I love her character. I just don't know if she'd be the best fit. As for the men, I think Blade and Moon Knight are a must, Werewolf by Night & the Black Knight seem likely. I'd love for Ghost Rider to pop back into the MCU. I wouldn't mind Doctor Strange being involved, but I do agree that he is more of a big picture guy. Maybe he's more of a consultant. I also think consider who would play what role on the team helps sort it because the easiest thing to double up on is sorcerers/witches so hopefully there will be less of those, and that slot almost has to go to a woman, because the men have so many of the other unique roles on the team (vampire, werewolf, mummy, knight, demon, etc.)

Dr. Strange 3 is supposed to be a rendition of Triumph and Torment. Allegedly Fiege made that clear from day one.

Midnight sons could easily have a rotating cast, I mean even the Avengers had people pop in and out of the group as needed. Dr. Strange one day, Agatha, Wong or even Shiang Chi the next. This honestly does feel like they could actually go the Mephisto route this time considering we're actually starting to touch on godlike existences in the MCU rather than just "the big three" (Aliens, Androids or Wizards).

Honestly I would love to see all of them! I love the dark side Marvel is showing us and its fantastic!

The only other character I think would be great (and a possible replacement for Agatha if she turns heel) depends on what exactly the Patrick Stewart appearance in Dr. Strange & MoM means for the MCU. If it means a merging of the MCU and Fox X-verse in some way, then I’d love to see more of Anya Taylor-Joy’s Magik! Not only is she a supernatural anti-hero type but her connection to hell/Mephisto is an interesting way to get her into the story. She’s a demon sorceress taught dark magic by the man himself. Plus her mutant teleportation powers are extremely useful. Her soulsword makes for a tough physical fighter. And especially for a show/movie about the dark and supernatural world like Midnight Sons her sidekick makes an interesting addition. Not Lockheed, save him for Kitty in a legit MCU X film. I’m talking about S’ym, her purple cigar chomping demon companion from her time in Limbo. In terms of strength he can totally go toe to toe with the likes of Hulk, Abomination, & Thor. So he’d be great to fill that hulk-type role on the team if they decide against using werewolf by night. Because, say what you want about The New Mutants movie but they nailed the casting for Magik and Wolfsbane. She was so good in that role: scary, sexy, sporty, posh, ginger (wait those are the Spice Girls). I meant she was scary, tough, arrogant but also vulnerable when needed she was fantastic and I’d love to see more of her as that character. Only maybe a little less blatantly racist toward her teammates.

Midnight Sons need to be R-rated

Mephisto is making his debut late in the Agatha Harkness series like Kang did in Loki.

This got me thinking how crazy the potential of the midnight sons can be. Also it’s been rumored that Lilith and Dracula will all appear in the Blade movie so it’s not far off depending how that plays out for them to go to battle with him

I think that Dr Strange will form the Midnight Sons as an end credit scene in MoM (or have a convo with Blade about it) as a fail safe for Wanda. A group that is powerful enough to kill her and will do so no questions asked. I think that the team of Black Knight, Blade,Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, and Werewolf by Night should be joined by a grittier Iron Fist and Potentially take on Dracula in their first team up as he is someone “from Blades past” that he needs help to destroy. So there’s two motives to the team coming together. Mephisto being the villain in a Scarlet Witch stand alone movie and then the Midnight Sons vs Mephisto and Wanda with Mephisto manipulating the hell out of her.

makes sence a midnight sons project would happen, D+ is going to want to cash in more cos of the video games that is in the works also, bonus points if they cram in some sort of doom guy/slayer reverence if they go into hell and there is mention/sighting of some other guy on/having been on a rampage in there
