A very first expedition without local guide, a team of 8 members (3 from ABVIMAS batch BMC-364) planned a very first small expedition to enhance their skills and face new challenges. Dealing indrahar pass route and moon peak without local guide was not easy, in between we lost the hope due to bad weather but in the end we charged ourselves to conquer the ultimate aim of covering whole trek in just 2.5 days.
People choose 6000m+ mountains to achieve a certain goal but in our case, we chosen a below 5000m peak which is not easy to approach and being conquered in 2.5 days without local guide and carrying a rucksack of 20 kg till base camp.

Moon Peak is a beautiful summit perched in Dhauladhar Range of western Himalayas in abundant valleys of Kangra. It is a moderate peak climb for the neophytes looking forward to achieving altitude about 4650m.
