My first time trying Mooncat nail polish. The 20% off sale was a perfect time to finally pull the trigger on my wishlist.

I don't own any Mooncat polishes. Nothing against them. I'm just on a low buy. I think you picked some real classic beauties (ex. Flight of the Monarch and House of Hades). Thanks as always for the video. 😊

Thank you!! I'm about to start my official low buy. I haven't announced it yet LOL but I have said the words out loud and talked to my husband about it. I let my guard down, thinking there wasn't going to be very many releases during the spring and summer that I was going to be into, but boy was I wrong. The guard needs to go back up 😜

I was so tempted to participate in their sale, I even loaded up my cart but then told myself that even with a sale price, they are regular price for an indie. I also told myself this bc I'm waiting for PPU rewind and I only have so much spending money for np. And I know it sounds crazy but I'm already saving up for BF LOL. That's bc I plan to buy some polishes I've been eying from Polished for Days, Holo Taco, Kbshimmer and ILNP. Your picks were lovely though! And I would like to own some of their polishes one day 😁.

It is definitely not crazy to be looking towards the future and saving up for what you want. Nail polish is super fun and great, but not if you're spending money you don't have. It takes the joy out of it. I'm always checking in with my husband and keeping track of what I'm spending. I never buy polish I don't want just to make a KZfaq video. Money is something I don't talk about on my channel but I don't have any children or any other hobbies. Not to get too deep. I'm just saying I totally understand What you're saying and I loved your comment. Thank you 😊

Nice haul! Yes, there is something so satisfying about getting new polishes in the mail. It just hits differently from buying in the store. Not knocking that of course, as I love to shop for polish, but getting it in the mail just feels like an extra special treat!

I also ordered from them for the first time during the sale. Still waiting for them to arrive. I ordered a few of the same polishes as you. Of everything that I ordered, I am most excited for Like a Moth to a Flame. I even gasped a little when you took it out of the box.

Oh yes, like a moth to a flame is definitely better in person than on their Swatch photos. The gray I was hoping to see is definitely there. I haven't swatched mine yet but I'm really excited about that one. So excited that I wanted to wear that one for my test wear, but The sun is finally coming out where I live and I want to wear something that feels a little more spring. so I think I'm going to go with the fields of Elysium.

This video cracks me up… i bought maelstrom only to discover it’s a dupe with cuticula krakens wrath, destashed fotm because it wasn’t purple enough and looked like the cuticula i got from last months shift happens 😂 i feel like they are sister brands but i always end up liking one version slightly more so i guess that’s ok for my destash journey. HOH is purple idk if you figured that out yet i haven’t watched the whole video yet lol but it looks only blue on the nail after 3 coats but you need all 3 !! It is really unique though tbh and i don’t say that about nail polish pretty much ever x

I have kraken's wrath also that's why I didn't get Maelstrom. I think I'm going to use House of Hades next, hopefully I think it's special as well 😁

There are a select few mooncat polishes I’m actually drawn to. I just can’t justify the higher price tag when there’s so many other brands I love. I will have to see House of Hades in person eventually 😅

I really can't see myself paying full price for this brand. I mean I haven't even tried them yet, but the price tag is so high. I'm in their Facebook group and it sounds like they do two sales every year. So if I happen to fall in love with them, I'm sure I won't be purchasing again until their next sale at the end of the year. We will see 🙈

It does look pretty awesome. I haven't swatched them yet though, but also I considered not getting it because I keep hearing that they have two sales a year and Access denied is a top seller so I know they won't be getting rid of it by then.

I don’t own any Mooncat but I’m so interested to hear your thoughts on the brand. I just am not willing to pay that price. There’s so many other great brands. Thanks for sharing your haul. Your videos are always fun!

And I already have quite a few Indie brands that I'm absolutely in love with, but with the sale and the fact that they keep polishes in stock I was able to pickup polishes that I've been eyeing for a while now. I thought it was time so we'll see after I use a few of them. I'm going to do my first manicure tomorrow 🤞

I saw a Reddit post last night in r/RedditLaqueristas of someone sharing a picture of their new bottle of “Stumped” and asking if it looks like the correct shade (it looks exactly like what you have here). Other people in the sub are saying it’s not the correct shade, but appears to be a shade called “Malicious” that has since been discontinued.

So weird! I haven't been closely following mooncat for very long, so I don't know the other shade off the top of my head, but I did Swatch stumped on a Swatch stick and it's really dark. We'll see how it turns out on my nails. Maybe the company got too big too fast and it's kind of hard to control all the ins and outs 🫤

Well the good thing is even though you waited later to order, you won't be waiting forever to get your purchase. It feels like they ship lightning speed but it's just cuz we're so used to waiting weeks from pre-order sites. The shipping is definitely a perk unless we're comparing it to glisten & glow. She's the queen of fast shipping! 😃

I'm very curious about House of Hades. I think I'm going to wear that manicure next. I've heard a couple bad things but mostly good things. So that makes me so curious. Today I did my first manicure I chose Fields of Elysium. It's really pretty, it's starting off pretty good. I'm going to post some photos on my Instagram tonight.

I’ve bought a few so far but haven’t actually worn them yet. I love darker colors as well so just ordered Dark Horse, Stumped, & Enchanted Mist. I also have NOL PPU but I have a love of browns & grey. TFS

I've been gravitating to a lot of browns lately. I'm trying to get more browns that are suitable for multiple seasons. I just got a light brown from painted polish called truffle shuffle. I haven't hauled that yet, but I think it's going to be nice even during the spring and summer 🌞

It works great. I've used it twice, but like I said the one I was using was pretty old. So in comparison I love it but I'll have to see how long the grit lasts
