My personal opinion is Tommy Gioeli knew Ralph Dols was a cop, but he didn’t want to anger Joel Cacace, he told Dino Colabro that Ralph was just some Mexican guy from a social club because he knew he probably wouldn’t go along with the hit if Dino knew Ralph was a cop

Cacace was a bit of a badass as well. He was accosted by three robbers at his florist shop in Sheepshead Bay. He was shot in the chest then took the gun from the one that shot him and killed him with his own gun and the other two ran off. He then drove to the police station shot and bleeding with the guys dead body in the back seat of the car. You can’t make this stuff up.

Look forward to it as usual. There’s a bit about it in Wikipedia and I’ll see if I can find where I read about it and forward the info if you’d like. Also talks about when he had the brothers killed after they hit the Judge instead of the Prosecutor due to being father and son with the same name. Didn’t really have an option really though since the Columbo family ordered them hit because of the screwup. I used to get these stories from my great grandfather and great great uncle. They came over from Sicily in 1923 and knew a little too much sometimes. Lol…that’s why I love your channel. Brings back memories. Don’t stop doin these bro. I look forward to each one. I worked out at the gym that the police officer worked out at. They had a very hard time finding out who did it at first. The police call me up soon after and asked me if I knew him from the gym. They called everyone at the gym to get any information on if anyone knew anything. The police go above and beyond when one of their own are killed.

Joe "Waverly" is my next door neighbor. He recently got out of prison after being away since about 2002. I was already aware of this incident. As you mention, everyone knows that he ordered the killing of Dols. It was truly a sickening crime and I find knots in my stomach forming just watching your video and listening to you talk about it. But it is what it is. You just wave and smile.

I follow several subscriptions on true crime and some of them visit the cemeteries where the subject is buried. Good video.i think its likely Tommy Shots knew, but isnt likely to say it out loud as itd draw more heat from both sides of law.One of the Icemans ( Richard Kuklinskis) hits was a dirty cop in N.J., unsure if he knew or cared.

I think he totally knew that Dols was a cop. It’d be hard to believe he’d get that detail wrong. But, what a stupid reason to have someone killed. Doesn’t sound like a very “professional” mob hit to me. Personally, I make it a practice to stay clear of Black Widows! Oh, and that guy you were talking to in the minivan, seemed so confused. Why would someone take orders from some boss, who doesn't want to get caught himself or get his own hands dirty, and kill someone they don't even know, taking a chance of either getting killed himself or go to prison for life, and not even get paid for it? You are almost guaranteed to be killed in that life or go to prison, it is incredible the stupidity of people.

You do an excellent job presenting all of the details involved in these stories. The guy driving past in the van cracked me up. You should have told him that a Martian Spaceship landed there in 1997. That would have gotten rid of him quicker.
