A sociedade está podre... deixam grandes bandas passar ao lado, só porque no entender das mentes básicas, isto não deve passar nas TVs e na rádio... dá - se preferência a toda a merda desde kizombas a tretas brasileiradas, sem esquecer o pimba e os osiris... tretas sem conteúdo, e quem ouve aquilo acaba por ficar assim... sem conteúdo...uma tristeza. Parabéns aos Moonspell, motivo de orgulho para todos nós! E parabéns pelo canal!!

I was searching for older videos I missed so I just watched this one and my jaw dropped when you started talking Portuguese 😲 lol! I'm French, I just took a class of Portuguese during my first 2 years in college so I just know basics but I love this language, I've been meaning to get back to it 😊

For the first time I heard about this band when I was in the Finnish Army in 1998. A person in the same room introduced me to Moonspell and I was immediately sold. I still listen to the band, although they are not at the same level as in the 90's and early 2000's

Conheço os Moonspell desde os tempos do seu início: Morbid God. Vi-os ao vivo na 1° tour europeia de suporte a Napalm Death. Se fizer as contas são mais de 10 as vezes que os vi ao vivo, 4 das quais aqui em Toronto. Costumo encontrar sempre gente portuguesa no shows. E neste também vou lá estar. Wolfheart e Darkside (Sacred Sin) foram os albuns lusos que mais me marcaram. É sempre um orgulho ver Moonspeel ao vivo! Abraço

They were one of the first extreme metal bands I followed. I discovered these Portuguese brothers when I was like 14 or so, and fell in love. Back then, the Spanish international metal scene wasn't even a thing, they opened the way for SO many Iberian bands (both Portuguese and Spanish). They were also one of the first to use folk melodies in extreme metal, before there was an organized Folk Metal scene, and I THINK they were also first to include Iberian mythology in their lyrics with "Trebaruna" and "Ataegina". They were really groundbreaking. My first live experience ever was at 16 in a town of Granada, but they fell off the festival set for whatever reasons (and I was going only because of them and Epica, although I knew lots of new bands there). A year later I could see them live in Granada opening for Cradle of Filth and it was MASSIVE. Moonspell will always have a place in my heart.

I hope you had a wonderful concert experience with Moonspell. I was at the Lisboa show where the Alma Mater thing was filmed. In July I will fly back to Portugal to see them again in Viana do Castelo for their 1755 set.

Ah então és mesmo Português! Uma sugestão que já estava para dizer há algum tempo. Já que vocês gostam bastante dos Eluveitie há uma música classica deles que vocês têm de reagir: Inis Mona. É bastante inspirada numa musica celta antiga, com a parte de metal ao estilo do Thousandfold. Eles tocam-na em todos os concertos. Em relação ao hurdy-gurdy vejam Storm Seeker - The longing (Pirate metal)

Ahahahahahahah loved that Sinhozinho Malta reference... it made my day 😀 This song is the unofficial portuguese anthem. "Wolfheart" is such a great album, you need to do "Trebaruna" for António, its a song sang in portuguese and it has a more folky sound, I think he will like it.

@@APREACTS I think that only the older portuguese and brazilian folks will get it. But its a sentence and gesture that became a reference for the last 30 years for our generation. Like the Prof. Astromar sentence "posso penetrar???" 😂

Good set up. Omnium Gatherium, Dark Trainsquility, Moonspell and Amorphis are all very good bands. And Yeah Amorphis made one of the best or the best 2018 album.

I love this kind of songs Where they mix the englsih and the Portuguese. Alma Matter, Full Moon Madness(lobos que foram Homens), Opium. The soings get something extra from that for me.

Man, that is one of the best albums ever made in metal, seriously.. been listening for 25 years.... It is an experience by itself, if you listen it, it sounds like it is made by 3 or 4 songs.. i got it first on tape back then and i always though it was 4 songs, until i got the track list..Most songs are clustered, you need to listen the bunch that makes a group and the experience is even better...

Saw them in Montreal with Amorphis and Kovenant back in 2000. It was quite an evening ! Dont understand how you missed them on this tour in Canada. Alma Mater is my favorite song from them. An absolute stay on my random playlist.

This song is the roots of my pagan metal years. I didn't know what "Pagan metal" was, what "Pagan" was, what "Lusitanian" was, I wasn't into Paganism back then, and I hear "legends of Lusitanian pride" and all exploded in my life at all levels: vital, religious, musical, etc. And Moonspell started it all. This was my first Iberian metal band EVER, even before listening to the Spanish bands I love. You should try Ava Inferi! It's a Gothic Metal band from Portugal, very dark, but beautiful.

Insisting on this recommendation: Mileth - De Bruma e Salitre. Extreme Galician Folk Metal, complex orchestral composition, Galician folk music, metal and entirely sung in Galician (which I know it's not Portuguese, but they are so close as languages, that maybe you find some familiarity in the language).
