MOOSE, My story

My Dream as young hunter was to take a mature bull moose, here is my journey that begun in 2016. Am not 100% sure but the distance travelled to secure my dream was over 100 000 miles , 41 days of learning how to hunt Moose, This could be a world record who knows .

I am so sorry for you that you experienced that story with Derek... unbelievable but true!!! Hope that he will never get a client! But don't spend too much time with bad thoughts, think about the positive people who make your dreams come true. Maybe some day, my dream to hunt a red stag in NZ will also come true. Since then, your video was excellent, I loved to watch it. Some day maybe I will publish a video with you on my youtube channel. yours Robi

I have well and truly moved on , I find it sad though that others have similar experiences with Moose hunting , some sketchy outfitters out there .

Yes def going back to hunt with Ken Megill , next time with the bow . Very good Outfitter...will try find some fish too for sure .

Very much looking forward to going back and hunting with Ken Megill , he and is staff were amazing , one of the frustrating aspects of the prior hunts were if there are no moose you were subject to just waiting for one to show ...That gets very slow after a while. With Canadian Outfitting co. we kept moving trying new areas and method. Will do a better job of filming Alberta next time too...

You deserve it BJ, congratulations. One guy cheated me out of 50.000 euro and i needed that mony badly. You loose your trust in people, but i still need to be myself "kind and humble" like you. It still hurts but i think that my time will come. Thanks for your story.

Yes its tough when you fork out a lot of money and book with a bad outfit, I will quote you a line from my second outfitter in BC...(he needs to put this on his website) "If you cant afford to loose the money it costs to do these hunts you shouldn't go" .. I read that the same outfitter a few years later only got one Bull from 8 hunters in the same region , that's piss poor.

That’s a bit bitter sweet I reckon, sweet you got a bull and bitter the scenery was dirty big powerlines. You’d be stoked to get one but I bet you pictured huge mountains and streams

I didn't care to be honest , I had 36 days of mountains and streams prior ha ha. I did wonder what I was going to do if my only shot on offer had a Pylon in the way .

I had the same experience with a Cougar Outfitter as you had with that Alaska outfitter - So I hired his brother the next year and killed my Cougar - 4-trips it took me to take a 182 lb Mountain Lion, many thousands of miles and dollars in that cat that's now in my living room. CONGRATULATIONS
