Just reading some of the comments, Have used both tractors on a forager and the 7610 has the edge on the 7810 everytime, Great tractors!

I wish they were that thoughtful, and i wish i could use the word professional - i spotted this guy coming out the lane of a guy i called up to see. Happened to have the camera in the motor. He was a bit shy to start with (i usually ask before i start). Knew i'd won him over when he flicked on the beacon. I've worked for several contractors over the years, but not anymore. I'm probably in a tractor seat on average now 1 week a year.

that is one hell of a good video, we use blue tractors on our mengele, nothing better than a reco forager. those machines eat grass with ease, we put 3 into 1 with ours.

@boggerjoe The 7810 was a bit of an "afterthought" so to speak when it comes to the 10 series. They had the 7610 and the 7710 rated at 103hp with a turbo four engine in them. Then they had the 7910 (I think it was) whith a 6 cylinder engine. But people wanted a small tractor like the 7610 but with 7910 power. So it was either County or S.E.M. that shoe-horned the six cylinder engine into the 7610 chassis and came up with the 7810. So in actual fact, Ford only sold it due to popular demand!

6 cylinder engine put out the same power as the turbo-charged 4 cylinder if I remember rightly, people just wanted it because of its better torque characteristics.

7610 and 7810 are great tractors .7610 series 111 engines had 103 horse power. 7810 had straight six cyl..100hp. stick a tw15 turbo on her and an extra assistant ram on the lift ....and she' ll put out 130 hp on a dyno test ,... we did . pulled like a train and still compact .It will one pass all day long, as good as the new tractors today. great outfit lads

That 7810 is a beast cuz i kart in with that tractor now and he now use a jd 6420 on the harvester

@Ford7810power the 7610 had a 4cylinder turbo 100hp engine,7810 had a straight 6cylinder 100hp engine,7610 torque power=377.0 Nm 7810 torque power=374.Nm :)

The 7610 has a turbo-charged 4 cylinder engine with 90-95 hp. The 7810 a 6 cylinder 100 hp engine ;)
