Meet Tiernyn, a girl who became pregnant at 16. When she was in 8th grade, she fell in love with a boy named Jack. He fell for her too, and asked her out a week later. They stayed together through the rest of 8th, 9th, 10th, and half of 11th. They were happy, at least that's what others thought. Theres a rumor that Jack had severe anger issues (seen when he claims he can take Nikki away and later on...) and that he used to hurt Tiernyn. She wouldn't confirm nor deny the rumors. This is where she became addicted, she craved for the love Jack gave her. So she stayed even though he may or may not be hurting her. Anyways, when Tiernyn found out she was pregnant, she thought her life would be over. The idea popped in her head, that Jack might leave her. She freaked out, but she "knew" that he wouldn't leave, because he loves her. So she waited a week before telling him, and he did the worst thing he could've done, he left her. Jack wasn't seen at school or anywhere in town. He disappeared completely. Tiernyn's mom and sister helped raise the baby, until Tiernyn bought an apartment. With a well paying job, a great apartment, and an amazing little boy, she knew that she was going to be happy for a long time. Until Jack decided to show up at her doorstep. This is where the story goes a little crazy. Tiernyn tells him that he's not Nikki's father anymore. That she didn't want Nikki around a guy like him. Jack went crazy and hit her, and he told her that he can easily take away Nikki and she'll never see him again. This made Tiernyn mad, he left for 5 years and then out of nowhere, showed up saying he wants to be in Nikki's life. She had enough of it. She bought a lawyer and decided to take full custody of Nikki, so they would never have to deal with Jack again. Tiernyn tried the easy way first, she told Jack to sign the papers that stated that she would own Nikki. Jack got angry again, and chose to go the hard way, to fight in court. She forgot that he has a chance of taking Nikki, she freaked out and talked to her mother. She knew her mother would understand, this is because her mother had to get a divorce and take full custody of Tiernyn and her sister. This is why her mother says "you can think you're in love, when you're really just in pain", for years, her mother had been in pain because of Tiernyn's father. Then, after she finished talking to her mother, she went to her sister. Her sister always looks on the bright side, and she always cheers up Tiernyn when she's upset. Few weeks later, they go to court. Tiernyn wins. Jack loses. She can now be completely free from Jacks grip, and now she knows Nikki will be safe from him. Life is now back to normal, and Tiernyn and Nikki live happily in their small apartment.
