I have a question for Bilal Philips......I, as a mere mortal, live by Allah's moral code.....in my own limited way, I willingly give some of my time, some of my money, and donate blood on a regular basis, in order to assist others less fortunate, regardless of race, religion etc.........In return, I ask for no form of payment, no respect, no acknowledgement, no honour's, no gratitude..in fact, I ask for nothing at all........ Allah, whose power is unlimited, easily, and at no cost to himself, gives us everything we need...... but he not only asks for many things in return, he actually demands full payment....he insist's on total respect, full acknowledgement, continual honour's, life long gratitude and boundless praise..with the added proviso that any that deny him his right's, will be forever cast into the fires of hell..... Obviously, our morals values differ considerably, mine appear to be far superior to Allah's....so my question is.....how can that be??????

Brother here is simple answer for your question, and you dont need Bilal Philips answer this question, as it is simple as 1+1. You do good, and you will get rewarded for more than you did, up to 700 times more. Never think that your good work would be wasted, your Lord is ever Aknowledging, ever Seeing. However, you do good but out here one can clearly see you reminding Allah about good you do, yet Allah the most High, allowing you to do good and guided your heart to do good. The only thing is your feeling superiority to your Creator could be destructive, so you should avoid the way you think. You are, as a created being responsible, the needy and the weak, the one created, and are blessed with life, provision and given many countless blessings. While Allah free of Need, the Master, you will be asked of what you do and He, He wont be asked of what He does, He is the Owner, most Just. Allah is your Master, so there is clear unmatchable difference between the Master and the servant. Of course you giving blood and money to others in no way could or would ever match to the favors of Allah subhana wa taala that granted you. The only gift of your eyes would outmatch anything in the world, let alone giving blood which is INITIALLY given to you, have you been given ilness and difficulties, you would not be able to do any good, at least the ones of which you remind Allah. Let alone His other countless favors on you. Therefore, why would anyone deny His favors, ever great and immense while men is witness to it? and not do his duties to his Creator? After all, you are the one in need, while Allah is free of any need. Surah FATIR 35-15 O mankind! You (are) those in need of Allah, while Allah, He (is) Free of need the Praiseworthy. Finally, If you dont like to be grateful to your Master, then you have your choice, you are free to choose. You are here to be GRATEFUL or otherwise, no one gets hurt by your belief of disbelief, gratitude or otherwise. I wish you and me and others guidance to ultimate truth and knowledge from Allah, The Most High. Peace.

So there is a lot to unpack here but think of it this way, its not Allah being an attention seeker for no reason but rather bringing your attention to what is good for you. See it as a genuine parent trying to guide their kid. As for acknowledging Allah's favours as well as attributes, its simply to remind you. Its no secret that humans are the most self less and kind when they are humble and being reminded of Allah's might (or how powerless humans are) humbles us and hopefully soften's our Eman (soul). In acient Rome a slave would continously whisper "remember you are just a mortal" to victorious generals as they were paraded through the streets after coming back home triumphant in order to humble them. Being and staying humble is much like staying fit or clean, you dont just do it once and leave, instead you need to do it routinely with consistency. It requires certain level of commitment. The same way you clean yourself or exercise routinely you need to remind yourself of what is real, what is good and what is truth and by praising it you are making it clear to yourself and you are making it clear to others so that they may also know of it. Also as humans we are tangible and we will always be slave of something, may it be Allah or may it be our desires. By emphasising that you should praise Allah more than the rest of what you know combined, Allah is only making the truth clear for you. If i say "1+1=2" im not bragging about how 2 is numerically superior than 1, im just stating a fact, stating the truth which will benefit you later on if you take Mathematics as an interest, it will serve as a guide. (This is an oversimplified example but i hoe you get what i mean) Also with great powers comes great responsibility, you get many rights and abilities from Allah, anything above a functioning mind is a bonus and as a human you have been given many rights above many other things so is it not right to ask in return what your duties are? When you are working you are given rights from your employer and in return you do your duties and that way you both benefit, Your employer gets their things done and you get your benefits from them. However in the case of Allah, you benefit twice since Allah has no need of your duties rather they are there to maintain you, to uplift you, to improve you, to guide you. Also I can assume that my mind is superior than the greatest minds of our times but in reality, 9 times out of 10 it will come down to me misunderstanding them because if it was that simple to outsmart them then they wouldnt be the greatest of our times. Things arent that simple, they have layers, they arent black and white but they rather come in multiple different shades and you have to get in to the depth of understanding things and be able to see the different nuances. Therefore you should really think twice about saying "my morals are greater than Allah's" because based on your analysis you went on superficial surface level observations which makes me wonder if you have studied the hadith sciences and if you truly understand why we do the things we do or if you just threw out the question without much of a thought. Dont get me wrong, the deeds and actions you do are great and Allah will reward you for them in one way or another but if you cant justify why you do those actions then they mean nothing. In Islam deeds and actions that you described are rewarded and justified many times over so there is no dispute among the people of islam when it comes to good deeds but to the unaffliated (atheists, agnostics e.t.c) good deeds cant be justified, at least not anywhere near with the same authority and certainty as you have in Islam. Footnote: This went a bit all over the place but i hope you take the best from this with you as i was in a rush to write this since i was in the middle of something when i saw this comment but yet felt the need to give some response.
