Mordred's first video for the funky song "Every Day's A Holiday" from the "Fool's Game" album 1989. Enjoy!
For better quality, add &fmt=18 at the end of the video link.

I'm 49. Metalhead since my early teens. Been through Thrash, Speed, DM, BM, Viking, Folk, Opera, Funk, & just about everything other genre. And I love Mordred. ❤️🤘 Fools Game is an absolute classic. Highly recommended.

So you are a model 72 - good year 🙂 Like you - believe it or not, Gary Moore's Out in the Fields got me involved. And it went on from that one... I came across Mordred somewhat by accident, but they fascinated me from the get-go. Their blend is absolutely unique, in all aspects. The guy at AllMusic chose to state something to the effect that "well, some of the others going the way they paved may have did it better" (yawn), but there is only one Trailblazer. Which always has been Mordred. Sit back and LISTEN everyone, everything they say is topical 30+ years ago.

God I love the whole "funk metal" sound from the 90s. I don't care if its corny, it influenced pretty much every band that came out after Cobain passed.

Man, I used to love these guys back in the very early 90s. These guys were a lot of fun to listen to. At the time, I was listening to thrash as well as stuff like the Chili Peppers, so this band really made sense to me. A metal band with a DJ - these guys were ahead of their time. Great stuff. MORDRED, if you guys tour and hit up Portland, OR.....I'll come check it out!!!

Saw them at O2 Islington a couple of nights back after waiting 23 years to see them! They were obviously very grateful to be there and that came out in the music. Mordred were rather damn brilliant.

In the late 80s the labels were saturating the market with bands that sounded like Metallica/led zep/ AREOSMITH, this was definitely an innovation that few bands ventured into-but didnt stick with it, saw these guys live and man if they stuck it out, they would have been higher than limp biscuits

I've just found out that these guys did a cover of "Johnny The Fox Meets Jimmy The World" by Thin Lizzy. Which, if you've heard the "In This Life" album you'll hear a bit of (at the end of Killing Time) ... "around the bay they've got some cra-cra-crazy DJs ... send you right out to Heaven". Now THAT, my friends, is infomation GEEKDOM in the X-TREME!

Bloody 'ell, they still going?! Saying that, a few years ago I discovered that Onslaught had reformed with Sy Keeler singing again and had released a new album. I only knew 'cos I saw a young guy wandering through Charing Cross Station in an Onslaught t-shirt, and thought "Eh? Surely he's too much of a nipper to ever have heard of Onslaught?". Stopped him and quizzed him about the shirt and was happy to learn they were rocking once more :)

Are Mordred the first Metal or Hard Rock band to include Turntables/a DJ?. They definitely paved the way for bands like Incubus, Limp Bizkit, Hed PE, Slipknot, Deftones, Mushroomhead, Linkin Park, Pleymo, and many others to use Turntables in their music.
