When I was a kid, I still remember picking out a Beetlejuice action figure from the toy store. He was dressed in his maroon tux from the end of the movie and you could pull his normal head off to reveal his shrunken head beneath. I love this project so much!

Because of your videos, I finally watched "Beetlejuice". I never wanted to watch it, it just never looked like my speed. But I appreciated it more as I recognized the sets and props and characters, and I appreciate you more when I see how well you truly captured all the features of the movie.

Thank you Argus!! I think it's often times the set and the feel of movies that attract me more than the stories. Just like the Addams house, the Beetlejuice House has a character all its own and it's fun to try and capture it!

Shrunken Head guy is so good looking! His sewn lips are so believable. I loved the Addams Family project, but this one is so funny. I vote for Magicians Helper for sure!

The "t-shirt button center thing" is called a "placket"...basically the part of pants, shirts, or a skirt where the fastenings go or that conceals those fastenings. Now you know...although "t-shirt button center thing" is cute!

I promise I am very normal so that is very true!! But I have also done this a few times. If you put my first dolls next to my current ones they would look very different! It just takes practice and anyone can get similar results!😉💖

The other week i went to a "Ripley's believe it or not!" place and they had a mini tv documentery showing you how to make a shrunken head. Still prefer the witch doctor/shaman method lol.

Nicely done on these character's, now all that's left is The sawed in-half lady The lady with both slit wrists miss Argentina Man with shark Witch doctor Guy with a rattlesnake in a sleeping bag A purple paled guy who sits right next to sawed in-half lady A person with either surgery hat or shower hat A greened skin guy who sits right next to smoking man And finally there's Juno the case worker the one with a slit in her throat. I agree, they are kind of cute. It's so cool to see how these dolls came together. Shrunken head guy really makes the waiting room for me. I dread sewing small clothes and try to avoid it, but describing the clothing parts as tubes was helpful in making it feel like a less daunting task.

I am so glad that was helpful! I have learned its just a lot of bending shapes until they work. As long as I am patient with having cut and recut pieces it works out in the end!

I always makes me laugh hearing the character names from Beetlejuice. I adore your videos, I have always been fascinated by doll houses and miniatures. When i was younger I used to make little house out of cardboard boxes for my smaller dolls. I would have never thought to make my own leather with modge podge, it looks so good. I really love how the characters come out more and more with each detail

@@BentleyHouseMinis You're most welcome :) Isn't it funny how something from our childhood affects our hobbies later in life. Smallest thing I've made in my adulthood is Barbie clothes for my daughter. It was during lockdown and she grew out of a lot of her clothes, so the stuff that wasn't good enough for donation we cut up and I made outfits for her dolls. It was great fun, now I'm more into crochet.

Wonderful! I think to have the shrunken head to keep its shape while sculpting, you can try making a tiny aluminum foil ball base. I use this for making polymer clay beads which just mush when I try to texture them without the base

@@BentleyHouseMinis yes I do this with tiny beads too. You have to use just a tiny scrap of aluminum and ball it real tight to keep any corners from poking out through the polymer clay. Well idk how many more shrunken head dolls you plan on making though lol.

You never cease to amaze me with your creations. Beetlejuice and the Addams Family were 2 of my favorite movies when I was a little girl. Ive always been attracted to the macabre and unusual things in life. I absolutely love your Addams Family House and so far your Beetlejuice house and characters are turning out just as good. My only complaint is the length of time between videos. But I know being creative takes time. Lol. I'm so looking forward to the next Beetlegust video. I can't wait to see what Lydia and Ms Argentina look like! You are so creative and innovative!

Same here! I used to 'practice' not smiling so I could be more like Wednesday lol! I wish I could make videos a little faster but I think I have an idea to make some mini-episodes when something is taking longer than usual to fill the gaps. I could talk about a single technique or organize something with you all. Not my regular type of video but it would be easy to edit and share while the other projects take their time. I hope to put it into practice soon!

You are amazing delving into your creations without hesitation. I don't know how much time you spend planning your characters, but they are spot on. I have a suggestion for making shoes for your dolls: drape the fabric the opposite direction so that the seam is in the back; that will give the shoe toe a smoother cap. There are DIY patterns for making doll shoes for all sizes that are easy. Once you have a basic pattern, you can adjust it for your different size dolls. Best wishes. I'm anxious to see the completed project.

I needed that fake leather tutorial! I made a perfect little 1:20 saddle for a Schleich horse with a scrap of faux leather I had, but it doesn't cut cleanly enough for the bridle. The fabric trick looks like it does.

I ground up some of my chalk pastels and put them in the little pots like you did, and it was so much easier. Thanks for the tip!

I tried to make an anniversary card while the video played and wound up just sitting here staring in awe at the screen as you worked. I honestly love all your projects since I found your channel near the end of your Addams Family build. I think the next characters to be done should be the witch doctor and the magicians assistant. But really, it doesn’t matter cuz I’m just so excited to see what happens next! You are going to need your own wing in the miniature museum for all your amazing projects.
