Financially, they're as "done" as their shareholders are willing to cut their losses if it underperforms. Microtransactions/non QA-tested Expansion packs for games like Sims, Madden, and the game formerly known as Fifa are too big of a cash cow to truly destroy them.

I feel so bad for all of us. EA is going to disappoint us so hard. Who cares about the player faces? It's a marketing ploy. It's easier to do that and sell that than make great gameplay, something EA has proven they can't do with Madden. "But it's different teams at EA!" It's all run by the bottom line. They will cut corners. They will sell it off marketing and hype alone. We will be let down. I know this is negative. It's also been proven true by EA for a decade.

Let's not forget this game is running on the Madden frostbite engine which means it's going to have the same gameplay issues Madden has. Presentation is nice and all but we want game not only looks nice but plays well too. You can paint a turd gold but at the end of the day it's still a turd.

@@WildcardJENO while true the engine for the older Madden games didn't make the game broken and animation based. It is as a physics based engine that led to authentic gameplay. Not like the frostbite engine where everything is based on canned animations

I don't think anyone thinks that this game isn't real. I think everyone knows that this game will come out. However I still think there is a possibility that it could get pushed back again. I believe the EA PGA Tour game got pushed back a couple of times. That fact that we haven't even seen a teaser or release date for this game and the sound of how the game is developing makes me think this game could get postponed by a month or two or even a year.

@@Travis_lee not an exact date release date. I think the reason they haven't announced an exact release date yet is because they aren't 100% sure they can release it by that time. So they are going to wait a little longer to make sure they have everything in order.

No The NFL is far more controlling of what EA has liberty to include in Madden then the NCAA will be, including jerseys, team editing, injury animations like concussions, you name it.
