Ohhh thanks for the tip of scanning in a page if I wanted to save it to use both sides. I love using paper scraps into my journal, I hole punch and stick it in. I use the disc system so I can use a lot of different paper. Lol. I have junk mail in there too. 😂 My hubby was like what are you doing with that? I took off with the cute pug pamplet.

Awww it's a lot of work to scan them but worth it if you really like both sides... He doesn't seem to mind when I spoke with PoorToast. Your journal sounds fun... I haven't done any journalling for some time now. I hope to do a video when I can decide what I want to do. Thanks so much for watching 😁😁❤️

I’m with you, love the dark, gothic Halloween images more than the cutesy ones. Thanks for sharing. I will have to check these out. I’m thinking of doing a Halloween journal. Too. Love fall best of all. I’m also working on a witchy journal. That idea came from Art Therapy with Jenn and the cats youtube channel. It’s a really cool idea, too.

Awww thank you, I'm hoping to show some journal pages I've just finished using images from these books... Hoping to do a journal along video very soon where I'm using these images in collages. But ATC's or cards are just what you need with a background is totally cool. Thank you for watching 😊❤️

Poortoast and Kate Curry seem to be the same person. When publishing through Amazon we used to be able to choose a business name but now Amazon frowns on business names and prefers we use a name like a person's name. Yes, some books have pages displayed on the Amazon sale page to show their content. It is up to the author to add what is called A+ Content and some do not bother. Some of Poortoast/kate Curry's books illustrations are quite pale because they are printed as standard colors as opposed to premium colors. When our books are printed by Amazon (called Independently Published), it is a lot cheaper to print as standard colors, thus the author makes a lot more money on the books. But true, pale colors are also sometimes better suited for some themes. Thanks for your review, enjoyed it.

Thank you so much for your interesting comment, I must admit I did wonder if they are both the same person. As I only ever communicate with Poor Toast, but both types of books have a different feel to each other... Kate Curry's seem to have a more feminine feel to them! But I could be making it up in my head 😂😂 He is a very nice guy though, I have communicated with him on a few occasions. Thank you for watching, so glad you enjoyed it. 😊😊🌹

@@ChattylaineCreates I can't be certain about Poortoast and Kate Curry being the same person but when we publish on Amazon we develop what we call 'brands', books with the same feel and style. An author can thus have different brands under different names. A man can chose a feminine name for a feminine type of books. Some authors have a name for their curse book and another author name for their religious books. People do not even appear as themselves, they choose avatars.... the world we live in, everything is air, never know who blows it! Just discovered your channel tonight and am loving it!

My daughter is just starting out on her writing journey and discovering all sorts of things...we haven't really looked properly at self publishing/independent publishing, but I was wondering what type of books do you make, if you don't mind me asking? And I'm so happy you are enjoying my channel too 😁😁💗

@@ChattylaineCreates low/medium content KDP and just getting interested in the collage genre. I used to love painting and collage as a child, but forgot all about it for decades. And in my search for new ideas, I stumbled on that niche and it awakened a long lost love affair I had had with the collage world. Unfortunately, I am a snail trying to overturn every stone along the way and I love to watch your reviews and see what you like, don't or would like to see in a collage book. Not sure I will get into the niche, but it simply interests me personally at this point. Good luck to your daughter.

At last i have found someone in the uk who knows what an ATC is. I have 2 of the books and have done 2 large folios with them and im doing a master board with whats left ready for next year. I too follow nicole ( relax cut glue ) have you seen the book shes done with kate curry ? Its a must cant wait for it to come. ❤

Hi Karen, yes I've followed Nicole from her beginnings on YT and I have just ordered her collaboration book with Keely too. I don't have any Keely books yet so this will be my first one and can't wait to get it I was so happy for Nicole doing this book... Thank you for watching and yes there are quite a few of us about in the UK who know about ATC's and journal making etc. hope you'll also enjoy watching some of my other videos too. 😊❤️
