I remember my grandad at 81 and he was just like Biden, especially after being awake half a day. Two years later, and even worse in his mind, he over did it one day, he went to hospital that night, and my uncle and grandmother day back after daybreak, and I learned he'd died, when I was 13 yrs old. If by some miracle, I seriously doubt Biden would be alive 4 years at end of another term, even if he could do half the job.

Biden has accomplish a lot in four years. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, the CHIPS Act, the Inflation Reduction Act. He would also have addressed the border but Trump and his House flunkies killed that for political reasons. Both Biden and Trump are too old for 2024. The reason we can only have two parties (at least for President) is because of the Electoral College. It makes it impossible to have more than two parties. There are a total of 538 electoral college votes and to become president a candidate has to get on more than half or 270 votes - basically 50% of the votes. Having multiple parties makes getting to that 50% more and more difficult. And the way the Constitution is written, if nobody gets to 270 then the House of Representatives decides. So basically each state gets together with their candidates and they vote amongst themselves and come back and file a vote per state. That makes it even more difficult for a third party candidacy. The only way we reasonably can have more parties is to eliminate the electoral college - which should happen anyway because of the reason it was created in the first place. Also, more states should go to the "ranked choice" method of voting. If we did these two things we could have more parties.

Lloyd Dogget has been my “representative” for many years now, this is the first time I have heard his name mentioned outside of my district. I have been hoping for years that a more productive and progressive candidate challenge him for his seat. I do agree with him and am shocked to hear that he and I agree.

Also, one bad performance from Biden doesn't take away from what he's done in his time in office. Much more for the people than Trump will admit, let alone understand. Age limit for seniors who drive when they make one mess up. The president makes a million mistakes, doesn't speak properly, forgets everything. Smdh put Biden behind the wheel and see if he can drive from one side of the city, to the other. If he can do that properly, then he might be okay. He won't make it though. The best thing for the Republican party would be for the Democrats to leave Biden as nominee. The majority of political heat from the right and seemingly the public in general is directed at Biden personally and not any specific partisan issue, so leaving Biden as nominee puts a major target on the back of the Democrat party. Perhaps not the safest, but the likely best move for the Democrats would be to replace Biden with him with anyone younger.

If democratic lawmakers and other party officials are going to ask the President to step down, they should at the very least be providing some sort of plans or guidance on how this could be effectively implemented so late in the game.
