Never played yet however from what I’ve been watching all over. It would be fair to say you’ve nailed most of not all. Heres some that may have been already covered: afk players, traitor workers, channel promoter, THe sprinter, and overreacter are some of the other play style’s

I think that you miss the hysterical, they can be either the worst player in the game or the best, but whenever they see a dangerous monster like the bracken they leave the building and won't enter never again. for me that player is a D

I didnt saw my playstile yet The carefull runner U go in with everyone U search everything up to a point when u need to go deeeep into the building U take the stuff and bring it to the ship Same if you cant find anyone Its better to be carefull and not risk a teamkill. I dont know how many runs i saved with that behavior Speed and movement is key U need to hafe a good knowlege about all of the Monsters in the building. The carefull runner is an expert on how to survive not on how to fight. Saving the quote is the most important task.

I am still surprised Shovel warrior wasn't mentioned. - Brings a shovel at all times - Reliably kill monsters without dying - Prefers fight over flight Overall B tier. Very nice to have but sacrifices one scrap for shovel and sometimes he just dies.

The navigator. The one who can always lead you back to the main door or a fire exit, no matter how far you went. They will get you out when you are lost. They weirdly always find fire exits first and have like a internal map in there head, so they will always know where to go.

Know what, seeing all these different playstyles/mindsets, I kinda wish they add more equipment that help cement the community made roles. Like little buffs that give a proverbial +1 towards their duty. Like for Beekeepers, Meatshield, and Hero, maybe there's a suit in the store that is "made of tougher material" that adds a buffer to the damage. It doesn't negate damage, but like the armors in Minecraft, it just adds some resistance to damage for a higher chance of survival. Of course, it'll be expensive, maybe even have a limited supply that gets refreshed per quota. Maybe even add a mechanic where if you face the oncoming damage while holding any two-handed scrap it can be used as a shield - with no indication of its durability - so there's that added risky choice of Survival or Profit. So the likes of Meatshield can truly run in there and be a shield by being slightly tankier than the average employee, or the Hero can risk more to be a Hero. Just subtle little roguelike elements. Tiny +1s so they could pursue their playstyle better.

dude as an "Overwatch" I would KILL to be able to focus on a player and a deployed radar booster at the same time. (I feel like allowing two players would be too powerful with how good having a (skilled) Overwatch already is which is why not that only radar booster)

@@rabitwarior2 Along with that, there's a mod that allows you to view someone's POV on one of the ship's screens, so if that becomes official, that could be yet another buyable feature in the terminal, or not even something that needs to be bought but just a hidden command that needs a password to be accessed. Like maybe on a post-it note behind the terminal, since it could be moved. So, while it is free and easily accessible by anyone from the get-go, only a veteran would know where it is. Plus, another unmentioned feature that could be added, is a hidden panel also behind the terminal, and in it is a headset that can be connected. So, the guy in the ship could easily communicate to all their teammates from the get-go (assuming they have radios), but cannot use it anywhere else with the wire just long enough to move between the terminal and ship's controls, and moving too far will automatically drop it on the ground. They're not the most game-changing features, but it does help someone's role to be a bit more effective at it. Just more stuff that makes things smoother for veteran employees on a good run, that way it's not longer inevitable for failure, but it will actually just be an uphill battle. It's not impossible, but it is difficult. Another feature that could be added, especially for the high-ranking players, is for a little booth on the Company location, where you could submit a deadline extension. And this is especially for high-pay runs because the submission isn't instantly approved, but will be given a single day of consideration, taking account previous job performance and quotas met (like whether it was met on the first day or last day or amount of scrap and profit deposited, excess material, etc.) all will be considered, and depending on how well your team performed, bar the immediate last expedition, the Company will decide whether to give you 1 more day as a one-last-chance, or (unlikely) if they're pleased with the previous profits enough to grant 2 days, or a very-very rare full 3 day deadline extension for your amazing work ethic and dependable deposits. _(Maybe, and this is a big maybe, the submission form has like a "Tell Us Why You Deserve This Extension" with several fill-in-the-blanks questions with a check-the-box type answers. So as added things for the Company to consider, comparing your answers to your overall logged performance. But again, that's a big maybe, as perhaps that's just unnecessary, but it does add into the immersion.)_ You get one free day while your submission is being considered, and no more. After that one day, once you've been notified on the terminal that they've finished reviewing it, you must return immediately to the Company even if you're in the middle of a run. There, you will find your submission paper in the booth with either a red stamp of Rejected or a green stamp of Approval.

What about "commander" they stay in the ship at all times and their eyes are red because of the intense focus they have on the monitors, they will be ready to teleport you back, open doors and disable turrets. They will provide helpful info to help the team get the most scrap possible, definitely an A tier leaning into S

S-Tier, especially if they're good in the overworld, and ESPECIALLY if they know how to handle jetpacks. Nothing is better than a super-support that knows when and how to bring scrap to the ship while the others can 100% focus on looting the place dry.

When it comes to the hacker I imagine asking consent or giving notice is a big factor. If they ask first when they're not hosting or give notice that they're using hacks and that you shouldn't treat the round seriously it is quite ok ; you know what you're getting into. On the other hand joining only to see mid match how one guy is immortal or how you suddenly have millions of credits ruins the experience.

I wonder how you will name and rank a player that always somehow survives moments that he shouldn't survive, like not getting killed in a bunch of tightly spaced eyeless dogs, getting saved by earth leviathan from the giant, not getting struck lightining despite having metal items, getting shot by shotgun and surviving close range on critical health, or even perfectly turning around to face bracken by accident plus making him angry and on top of that escape as well. All by accident.

I’m feel like there are two niches that you forgot to mention 1: the speedrunner. This guy has labbed out every possible time save from ship to door and will ALWAYS get to the entrance first. 2: The disarmer. This guy’s favorite map is dine and his favorite item is a stun grenade. A USED stun grenade. You will constantly hear explosions followed by “I’m ok-“ only to be cut off by another explosion

The thing about the foghorn you can actually hear it inside the facility. when Im on chair I usually just pull the foghorn to tell the poeple inside facility they have something on their back or if there are dogs/giants outside. (short horn for behind you, long horn for dogs/giants)

There is a variant of modders. The spontaneous/ random modders. These guys are basically mario lucky blocks when it comes to consistency, they install some of the most random stuff. You may see them be normal, and next second later they are leaping to the skies. I consider myself one of these, a mixed bag.

as a pro "bee keeper" (I thought we were called hive runners) the reason we love doing hive runs is because it not just provides an insane amount of profit easily, but it also can be used as a sort of skill representative to show our skill in the game and earn the trust of others. I abuse this around new players and make them my pawns of sorts by telling them "hey go grab that", "hey go distract that", "Hey jump in the pit."

Earn the trust of new players?? Nah bro. If you're good at that, you will earn the trust of veterans like me, but not new players. One time I was collecting hives with this random team of newbies, and some dude just got very angry at me when he was back at the ship. According to him, the beehive I put on the catwalk on the side of the ship made it "dangerous" to get back in the ship. Then another newbie approaches the ship from the back, somehow anger the bees, and proceeds to die trying to run away carrying like 60lbs of loot. Shits stupid as hell.

I'm a slight soundboard troll, every once in a while I like to wander off around a corner and play a mine detonation sound clip. It usually gets a few chuckles. Also, I'm a subclass of hunter, the only monster I seek out, is the nutcracker for that sweet sweet shotgun. I usually end saving my teammates and collecting some loot while waiting for a nutcracker to show up. I'd love for you to seperately rank the nutcracker hunter!

One role I normally play is the coordinator, I guide my teammates around and memorize the map, and then if all else fails, I switch to playing the recovery specialist while one lifeline teammate swaps out for my spot. I run back in with no gear, following the map I did my best to memorize, and grab all the dropped items if people die. It's worked out well so far, and my friends keep insisting on me staying in role since it's saved a few runs

thechnically it could count as the comedic relief dude but i love the person who just doesnt care about the neighbours and screams his ass off while running from a thumper, as far as my experience goes they always die last, preferably by crying in some dark corner, lost entirely watching a coil head that blocked their only way out or falling to their demise. They probably only grab the walkie talkie.

Survivalist : Never dies. Always carries a stun grenade and even if they get lost at 10pm deep in the bunker they'll find the fire exit and get back to the ship despite the giants and the dogs. Always gets haunted for some reason

I want to add a ‘support role’ to this tier list. Aside from the overwatch, this is my next favorite role. Weak when alone but can provide the best support to others. They’re the ones that will provide backup and support you in all your needs. Need someone to help you take down the Bracken? They have a zap gun ready and loaded. Need a bodyguard and scout as you both head deep into the facility? They’re the ones guarding you with a shovel. They’re the ones communicating with the overwatch at all times and directing those without walkietalkies.

The scaredy cat: this player often will either get scrap encounter a loot bug and drop all their loot or just stay outside of the main entrance doing nothing.

Don't forget the impostor. Like a variant of the pvp troll except they only exist to find whatever way to wipe the squad until everyone gets tired of them. Then they join the next lobby and do it again. Shovels aren't enough for them, they'll lead you into monsters, landmines, turrets, knock you into the void, lock you out of ships, attract monsters with noise, or spam the bell when you're trying to sell.

the suicidal - goes to difficult moons - goes in first no weapon - virtually no fear - quickly explores the building without proper investigating - grabs the bees first - when theres a monster, they try to dodge it instead of running (70% fail rate) - would die at the gap jump for not paying attention hard enough - takes the apparatus with no warning - sprints towards the sentry - either comes back with a lot of loot or dies first (you will never find the body) (i am that player)

Ideas: The Tryhard: Takes the game far too seriously Will yell at team mates for minor errors Very impatient Will kick people unfairly if they are the host *examples of unfair kicks are: Kicking players with kid like voices, kicking anyone who’s tag is lower than Boss, kicking anyone who makes a valid argument to not do what they are being told to do, many, many more stupid reasons. May intentionally get team mates they dislike killed if they deem them useless. Will refuse to go to easy moons. The Tour Guide: Helps new players Is usually very polite Often times not a pro, but still knows some things Will usually not take the game too seriously Is often patient, though may get frustrated after a while (these people tend to not go too far with frustration though, and it can be hard to tell if they even are frustrated.) The Bankrupter: Will always type Store into the terminal before anything else. Always buys items that are on sale. May ask team mates to sell early to catch a sale. Often buys stuff the team doesn’t need in large quantities. Generally not fun to play with. THAT guy: Is very weird. Does even weirder things. Possibly 67 rats in a trench coat. Potentially untrustworthy. The Chaotic: Very inconsistent Usually does it on purpose Fluctuates between personalities Will do good or bad depending on how they feel that day May kill team mates, or save team mates Could shift mid day Is often times hard to tolerate as when he’s doing bad, he’s doing it on purpose. The Bracken 2.0: Will set up death traps. Funny at first, but can be annoying when you lose all your items to the mafia for the 10th time in a session.

The solo player: Will head the complete opposite direction of the main entrance unless absolutely neccessary, opting for the fire exits instead, won't be seen by others most of the game, will either come back with nothing, somehow be the most profitable or die trying (Totally not saying this cause I do it...)

a few fun players i've come across: the quota queen - player who spends way too much time making sure you sell the exact amount each quota and will get very sad if a few credits are wasted the quota afker - the player who refuses to ring the bell or help with selling stuff because they got killed by the monster in their first game and is traumatized the "solo" player - doesn't know how to communicate or play in a team cuz they always play by themself and usually has a god complex for some reason lol

The Coward: Never EVER enters the facility alone or explores alone. Will wait at the door until another person arrives, even if everyone is dead. Always has a pro-flashlight, walkie, and shovel in hand but is so afraid of the monsters they will just run away with the shovel leaving teammates to die. D-Tier only because they sometimes carry scrap back to the ship (usually one at ta time because their inventory is full).

You forgot a couple. The funny mic user. They sometimes use it to troll, or pretend to be scared or they are scared and it makes you laugh and then sometimes gets you killed. Sometimes it's helpful because you'll hear them a mile away and know when to run. So it can be a 50-50. I'd rank it in C tier.

i suggest 2 more types: the berserker kills all the monsters that are able to be killed and the lovers: two people constantly flirting with each other but together they make a great team, until one of them dies then the other one is useless

Shovel Guy: The teammate that will not leave the ship without a shovel. They will go around collecting scrap like normal, but as soon as a killable monster spawn, you best bet they are charging at it with their shovel. Ranking: Anywhere from C to S tier. Some of them will instantly die to monsters, whilst others will kill any Thumper, Spider and loot bug in sight and present your team with 10 shotguns from the 10 nutcrackers they killed. Risk-Taker: This teammate will try any and every single risky trick in the book. Sometimes they succeed and help your team a ton, but other times they fail and die at the very start of the run. Ranking: C-B Tier These are the two types of players I am lol

forgot about commander, who just stay on ship and can help everybody in any second. he always know where is scrap, how many scrap remains and where is way out. they can save your ass in every situation, but they sometimes can be annoying.

The 50/50: I’ve made this up cause I’ve encountered these Either they become the clutch god in the best moment possible or they take everyone down with them with an accidental landmine or bracken fumble Freddy Fazbear Syndrome: Player always goes for the Apparatus no matter what, always take it out the second the find it The Silent Protag: the least talkative of the player, perfect for escaping the dogs outside, besides that, they’ll most likely be at the ship

to be honest, when it comes to lethal company I'm a bee keeper. I will search for bees if I so as hear them and after me and my group have looted the facility I run back and collect all the bee hives on the map. My reasoning for this is that A. 100 dollar bonus and B. It's really funny when you have the nest in the ship and outside you hear a person yelling while being zapped by bees.

At some points i always encounter that one player i like to call The Escapist. These players usually carry a TZP and a stun grenade incase they want to run away. Without needing to drop any valuable things. These guys can escape death with decent odds mainly because of the TZP. The only downside is that they usually get lost in the maze easily. Along with that theres also another type of player i like to call the marker. They HATE getting lost and use the spray can as a way to find themselves back to the entrance. They can he very helpful for newer players who cant seem to memorise the current map and directions

I have a friend who isn't really the greates with horror games so I usually find them hiding in the corner of the main entrance which funny at first it can be annoying when they keep doing it BUT when theh do play the game it's always hilarious being in proximity of them because they always scream at the monsters and it's very funny

Security cam is easily A tier, they guard the loot so that none is lost in worst case senario, they help locating loot (you have no idea how often it happens that one of the dumbies run over 3 pieces of metal sheet lying on the floor. And they can teleport someone if they get into a bad spot, like forest giant or parasite. It's almost more bennifitial then not to have one then for everyone to just run in and get killed. Communication really is key.

don't forget about the speedrunner they bring one shovel and manipulate the game and monsters to kill them easily and they clear the steam pipes an get some loot near spawn and they always use inverse no what mise will not even call them speedrunners they're absolute chads🗿

I got one I like to call the control freak or the self-appointed boss which is someone who thinks they're in charge of EVERYTHING. These guys are extremely petty so up on their high-horse they'll kick you for the smallest things. I took a shovel once, they teleported me so I would drop it, then teleported me back into the ship mid-round just to kill me. Also got kicked once because I was standing on the pilot terminal. Immediate F tier.

the deep diver (me) goes in first no fear nothing in inventory doesnt need light or aparatus working just scans through any hallway until full inventory if coming across more scrap trading less valuable for more valuable if this player makes it out you will meet quota however they always go so deep getting a full inventory and taking an irregular path it takes them an obnoxious time before they find the exit if they live long enough and typically needs a guide back, however is incredibly independent and wont ever give up
