For those new to this video or my channel, I did a video before going over obscure Vocaloids. Today, this is a sequel where I go over MORE obscure Vocaloids!
New sprites on my channel! What do you guys think? I was going for a more classic anime style. I go a little more in-depth on my Ko-Fi page if anyone wants to know!

Yumemi Nemu and Fuiro are really queens. I love all the other vocaloids too, but I think these two are really good quality and pretty great! CUL is my eternal favorite queen tho!

Prima's voice can actually come from a girl that goes through puberty just fine: look up Julie Andrews singing opera arias at 14. The popular fan design put her at age 15, about a year younger than Miku. Her and Tonio's chinese designs were actually based on the animal-themed clothes the singers wear in chinese opera theatre shows. From personal experience, Prima is hard to use due to her pronounciation mostly. But when you get the hang of it, she can be used for anything.

Every vocaloid is No.1 in my heart... Even that ugly green bean too. I love Yumemi Nemu's design so much, I hope she gets an update, they can just keep the design and art the same lol, just update the voice.

i actually think tone rion's original design was much better - she was just super moe, her artist, akio watanabe, has quite a bit of notable work and is known for that kind of stuff. i think she's just a product of her time lol. also i find it interesting that kikuo's work with her is really popular but still nobody knows her (ive seen newbies just assume shes miku)

For some reason, operatic songs match "Stronger" songs like "Hirari hirari" (Yuma showed us how such voices fit), so well, operatic ones can come from a specific genre, but you would have to find the right song

You forgot a very important part of Tone Rion's original design, she was based on Akiba maid cafe servers with a heavy futuristic aesthetic!!! It puts her design in a whole new perspective

I freaking love your new clip-art! It’s definitely my favorite you’ve made. Also, out of curiosity I looked up Philo and now I’m understanding why people weren’t very impressed with Fuiro. Don’t get me wrong, I still love her voice, but man if we got a voicebank that could actually show off Philo’s range, we’d have a fricking amazing voice bank. Doesn’t really help the two sound nothing alike

I really can not find much info about those Vocaloids so I hope you can find and talk about them, they are from I-style project V3: Aoki Lapis & Merlin. Basically, they are Vocaloids with Vp are winner contestants so their voice is not so unique in some ppl opinion. But personally, their voice is very suitable for their design and reason. They are voice banks for Iphone, but their voice can also use in songs focus on lullaby-style. Unfortunately, Aoki seem to be owned by a chinese company and will have same fate as Piko, while Merlin is literally forgotten. My Avatar is from 2013 and is a fan art of Aoki Lapis, I still listen to her songs till now when I need a relax song. I hope you can find more information and talk about them in your next video. They deserved attention they should got from their releases. P/s: my English not very good so if there are any mistake, plz correct/ignore them.

If you do decide to make another video, heres a few suggestions: Bruno and Clara- theyve been pretty obsolete until Maika, now theyre completely overshadowed by her Arsloid and Mirai Komachi- they were originally private, so that mightve lowered hoped for some. I havent seen Arsmagna or Bandynamco do anything with them either. Macne Petite- I feel like people overlook her in favor for macne nana. I have both nana and petite, and they sound very identical so maybe that was a reason people dont go out and buy them. Sonika- she does horrible outside of her range, and the background noise doesnt help either. I feel like Sonika’s V4 would have definitely saved her Anon Kanon- they have very similar voice types, range, and tempo. They were also released in the V3 era, so people might’ve brushed them off as just another generic female japanese voicebank. VY1- he has just been there for a while. While I personally think he did kinda good in the V2 era, since VY2, people have forgot about him to buy VY2 Mo Qingxian- Mo is like the Meiko in Vsinger. She has a handful of fans, but her company never uses her because of the more popular vocaloids like Tianyi and Ling Mayu- Mayu was another generic voicebank in V3. She is also a Yandere. Im assuming she isnt used because of that trait. She has that slight nasal voice like Tone Rion

I disagree with the point that YV1 is underrated, recently Will Stetson released a Vocaloid song with YV1 and it has over 250k views on YT. VY1 is way more popular than VY2, because VY2 is a male voicebank, he didn't get a V4 voicebank meanwhile VY1 has V3, V4 and a V5 voicebank. Also if you didn't know, YV1 is a female voicebank, bro.

@@akitoisveryhotyes when I said that he was underrated. I meant that people dont use him as much as they used to. For me at least, when I try to find people using the VY series, 8 times out of ten, its VY2. With both of them compared, VY2 outshines VY1 in terms of popularity. Also if you didnt know, VY1 and 2 dont have official genders. Just because VY1 had a feminine voice, does not mean that he is female. The whole point of them being swords is that they can be whatever you want them to be

I will admit that of all the V2 English banks, Prima and Tonio (what little I've ever heard) sound the best. The problem is that they're opera singers... as in _just_ opera singers. Anything that niche is inherently going to have limited appeal. I'm actually more surprised Cyber Diva and Cyber Songman aren't making more noise then the dramatic duo. I don't think Rion's outfit was the problem; there's no rule that the illustrator or video maker has to go with the default duds. More likely she just got overshadowed by established Vocaloids that already filled her niches: Yuki, Cul, Miki. And yes, being released in the middle of the hype over Yukari and Ia's releases certainly didn't help either.

Good video but a few small comments 1. You said Nemu is more popular than Rion? Pretty sure it's the other way round and Rion having 800-ish (V3 and V4 combined) entries on vocadb while Nemu only has 400-ish also would indicate that 2. Kikuo only used Rion ONCE, the synth that he used in his last album a lot actually is a girl from Ace Virtual Singer called Qi Xuan. But that engine's devs have gotten into more than one scandal by now and Kikuo gave some hints to his fandom that his next song might use Zundamon 3. Cevio recently had an update that drastically reduced the engine noise. Go and compare Cevio 2.0 voicebanks to the original

I take it more as view count since Nemu has had quite a few songs achieve popularity, even if they are covers. A particular cover of Alien Alien with Nemu did really well if memory serves me. Ah, I see! I had seen Tone Rion listed on a track list for one of his latest albums so I assumed he was using her for a while unless he's like most producers who hoard voicebanks. Lol! I noticed recently with a 2.0 voicebank showcase on Twitter. Thank goodness!!! the engine noise in Cevio prior was just horrible, ESPECIALLY for IA and Flower.

@@WeebaLu I looked it up, there are Pokkan Color reprints that have 5 times more views than the Alien Alien Nemu cover If you'd ask me the biggest Cevio 2.0 improvement is Futaba Minato she sounds soooo much better than before

Not to nitpik, but Asterian on SynthV is actually a bass, not a baritone. SynthV has a severe lack of baritones, but Jun is one and Frimomen will be when he comes out!
