+Maria Johnson you think sausage has the protein you need? yea it does but it also comes with chemicals and stabilizers and preservatives not to mention its processed. so the protein you get from sausage is also gonna cost you your life in the long term so i'll take the carrot one anyday. besides you can get your protein from vegetables if you consider munching more. for me 2000 cals a day gives me 89g of protein i eat higher some days, some days lower. higher days would give me around 100+g of protein so i dont get why you cant get your protein from vegetables lmao

+Maria Johnson This is honestly the dumbest comment ever, you literally cannot be protein deficient unless you had a disease/disorder or are malnourished. You can get A LOT of protein in fruits and vegetables; you don't need a lot of protein to function. If you think the only way to obtain protein is by killing someone else, you are sadly mistaken.

I live in Northern California where they're obsessed with healthy, organic, local, high quality food (especially wine and cheese) and there's a really popular cafe here with a grilled cheese sandwich that's $14. I'm not kidding.

Originally being from LA I can definitely say that there are waaayyy more 'unhealthty' restaurant options than healthy ones. But what's awesome about it, is that you have pretty much anything to choose from. From Mexican to Haitian family restaurants. Most everything that you find will be authentic and delicious. The food culture in LA is truly amazing.

Grey Block Pizza!! I've been there many times!! This place is right across the street from my school--literally! That place is ALWAYS packed during the day, because of the Santa Monica College students. Just show your school ID and get the SMC special: two slices and a drink for $7 ;)

I live in the deep South and have always hated Southern food and I grew up on a farm. I hated pork, deep fried foods, pies and cobblers, cornbread from day one. When I got older and traveled and tried more foods, I feel in love with sushi, vegan foods (I'm not vegan). I honestly think, I'd be all about some "LA food"

+Erin Booker Honestly it's not hard at all; all you are cutting out is the suffering of animals, which is mainly meat, milk, and a chicken's period. There's vegan substitutes for everything, vegan ice cream, vegan meats- you name it. It's not hard at all. Even Oreos are apparently accidentally vegan. Being plant-based vegan is a little harder because yes you are restricting yourself from a lot of processed things, but I love it and it's not hard for me at all. Being just a regular vegan is exceptionally easy, trust me.

I highly doubt it, but they do have a lot of vegan/vegetarian spots. I live in Washington and not even Seattle has that many. We have a great amount but I'm sure LA has more. Where I live in Washington we have none.

I'm in Cali and I literally only have 1 vegan spot within a 50 mile radius and it's basically just an overpriced salad shack, I have egg and dairy allergies and would kill for vegan food like they have in LA

OMG this all looks so good. I'm a pescatarian and I am transitioning into vegetarian and it sounds like LA is very vegetarian friendly. I find that only eating fish and mainly eating veggies makes you crave and love veggies so much more. I really want to try everything in this video. I may even try to make that carrot hot dog, lol!

All of these foods are completely legitimate and I eat them almost every weekend. They are the healthy alternatives to unhealthy food and most of them are really good (except the pizza, that is a horrific creation XP ) .

Andrew Vanderschaaf what you just said makes 0 sense. Sushi is sushi rice wrapped with seaweed with fish or vegetables. You're saying if fish wasn't in sushi it isn't sushi? Do you know nothing about sushi? Plus relating to the video she said it's seaweed and the filling is what you'd put in a normal burrito so I guess you didn't listen either.
