I really hope the devs don’t abandon this game. Has a ton of potential

Early on, before you've researched fences, you can position your huts in such a way as to protect your storage, so as to hinder raiders from getting to your stash so easily. They only have to stand next to a chest/stockpile for a few seconds to take your items. Your citizens also get a "Loser" debuff for having lost a raid, regardless of whether or not you killed all the raiders. You lose the moment they steal your resources.

Hey Kage i found it much better to go out and meet the raiders with a couple companions before they even reach your town.

When using crafting/repair benches(looms as well) and research desk I found it much easier to deposit stacks of resources in there myself. So the axe repair issue.. keep enough stone/wood in the bench to cover the repair and they will fix it. Same with crafting arrows or anything else. Just pop in like 50 wood/30river reed, queue up 10 batches of arrows and boom they'll craft you 300 arrows. Same as the loom/tailoring bench when make rope/linen and armor put all the required resource in the loom, manage the weaver table and queue up what you want them to craft. I'm sure there's ways to completely automate everything eventually but as of now it being Early Access I find it easier to turn off all settler deliveries until you make multiple settlements further apart. Rather than them shuffle everything around at 1/2 settlements.I Enjoy your content very much and look forward to seeing more of your Bellwright adventure! It certainly has load of potential but is certainly a slowburn at the moment especially playing solo. Keep it up broski! And make Travel Post as soon as possible! Putting chest near them as well to stash bandit loot/quest items for those locations to easily teleport back to HQ.

Hey Kage848, you can put your people on guard (reserves), so when you "call to arms" they will be in guard duty and they will pick up weapons and protect your town, i use them in that way and its much easyer

I'm sure someone has mentioned it, but the red icon on your axe I figured out means its currently being used by a follower at a building, and if you equip it, you will stop their action. Little confusing if you are seeing it in storage when it has to be equipped in the actual building if it is on their person or stays in the inventory though... Also, I believe the delivery skill priority details how often they deposit stuff, and each box separately depends on its own priority. Thanks for the video and your uploads!

Multiple chests holding the same item screws up the ai. They will even get locked in a loop of just carrying items between the two chests. It also screws up the top up coding as well. Start with a couple stockpiles one for food one for resources. Your walk to grab resources saves you more time then the ai getting screwed up and you having to gather. On that note you can make a chest that replaces boxermom. A drop chest turn off everything. Drop your loot and the ai will collect and take it to your stockpiles it belongs in. To empty all your chests you already created first create the new stockpiles then go to each chest and turn everything off then go hunting for a day or two when you come back it will all be moved for you. Make sure to have someone set to transporting goods as a priority.

The weavers loom holds ton's of stuff and they will grab the supplies from it if they need it in other places in the base.

I think they aren't doing the tasks that you want because they don't have enough time for everything with only two people. When you get 5 or more they can get a lot more done.

you should make youre people weapons so they can fight back

go to your old base and dismantle it all maybe that will remove it all something you can try off cam

I saw one tip to fast track the logging hut research so you can then unlock the stockpile (400 storage), also to give the villagers bags to double their storage.

since you are looking to further expand and add more followers. build additional housing to have 1-2 unoccupied places so when a new follower is added, they can be assigned a place to live straight away. research Fences and place such to restrict access and funnel bandits to certain areas easier to murder by your own people. make sure all your followers have weapons and shields at hand and look into getting some level of Armor to keep them alive. anyone with Archery should also have a Bow & ammunition to attack at range before bandits get physical. your new guy has skills of some degree in pretty much everything = build the Bloomery and research mining to build mining camps. work toward upgrading to metal tools & Weapons.

You have to assign them as Follower. Not worker or guard.

hehe, usually, you have to set someone to deliver, that will have them moving stuff into a crafting station, then whoever is set to crafting will go and actually make the item. So, just make sure that the delivery priority is somewhere where someone will actually have the time and opportunity to deliver.

Adjust your gathering camps by priority number and raise/lower them on the list. For example; if all are prior 5 they will kinda free for all BUT if you were to put say stone as priority 1 raise it to the top, wood priority 2 right below; flax priority 3 below that etc. Also setting a station's priority to 1 will make them focus it until the station is full or the required tool is broken. I found keeping 2 /3 axes/pickaxe at each camp will basically fill that camps inventory in a couple days. Then I typically take the tools back for repair myself and also some of the resources to lower volume. You can also set stockpiles near them to easily empty them out and have load of resources at your disposal when needed.

Also, setting your settlers personal priorities in the order of which they specialize in help a lot too. Like if one has 3/5 gathering and another 1/5.. Put the 3/5 gatherer as prior one and have it do more things to benefit from the extra yield and have the 1/5(which low gathering settlers typically specialize more for fighting/guarding) have them pick up stone or wood to get lvls easily without affecting your yields. So prior harvesters to forage/mine/log; Hunters to run your traps/bait. Highest research prior 1 on the desk. And same for cooks and everything else. Each camp/station you have has multiple priority settings. I found it easier to set them all as 1 on the actual station and adjust each settlers priority according to what they're better in. I hope these tips help you!

Haven't finished the video yet but I will say researching the storage is a great and less clutter option

I think starting new is in order. that two settlements messing things up right now. Its early enough in the game that it wont hurt you that badly to restart and quickly return to the current state offcam. Dont sleep during the night. use it to craft gear and hand it out to your minions in the morning. Also on my routine each morning after the handouts of new armor to my minions is taking 6 cords and 20 wood and travel to the two crafting merchants. One is at the lake on the east to your base and buys the wood from you and sells you 1 Strap each day for 75 gold. the other merchant is at a small hut on an open field to the south. you cant miss him if you follow the road to the town the quest sends you that you got this video. He buys the cords and sells you 1 strap each day for 75 gold. this and mass murdering bandits are the only ways to obtain straps in the early game and you need a lot of them! 15 alone for the town hall research and nearly all armor and weapon researches need another 1 to 4 Straps! So i highly advise to trade wood and cords for straps each morning to ramp up the research and that you have crafting to do at the nights. Also get into the habit to assing 1 out of 3 villagers to be a permanent Guard. guards wont work but reduce the rate of how much the raid meter increases. Workers will store their weapons you give them for the tools when they work and are currently too dumb to get their weapons, bows and shields out of said storage when called to arms. Thats why having the guards up and ready all the time is worth it. they dont drop the gear and are always ready to fight the raid or join you as companions. Workers need to handed out the gear you have to manually retrieve from storage and hand them back to them manually. thats a hassle not worth the time in my books. This is mount and blade combat. you are not supposed to fight 2 vs 1 and win. always take at least one fighter with sword and bord with you on longer tracks or roaming bandits might send you back to respawn if you miss your shots or run out of stamina when you are alone.

I wish they had it so items stack in your inventory instead of just in the storage tent.

Foraging camp has its own top up coutner, it is really bad, because I wish it worked for total amount, not local amount of resources. So change order of items, and lower them like to 2 or 3 in in number to harvest various resources.

The first town has a ton of quest to get trust, so I'm saving my coins for later towns with less quests. When you do a crafting order, it is two steps. Deliver materials to do the crafting and crafting. A worker can't go craft unless the machine has materials. Take research if you pick something and deliver materials, they will start researching faster. Repairing items is a 3 step process, NPC deliver the red marked item to the machine, deliver repair materials, repair. If you want to manual repair you need to move the item to YOUR inventory not the machine and have the repair materials in your inventory. (When using the machine it has "Repair" selection at the top.) I don't think the crafting NPC understand that in order to craft they need to deliver materials, that is done by the delivery job, so many things can get stuck without enough deliveries.

Hey Kage, take a look *what chest you assign a camp/followers* That's why it's going in Camp Chest #1 Also, a work bench has a storage area to use to craft/repair. Don't store items there in the gathering hut for instance. The rest was mentioned in the cmments and there's anther newer vid to boot at the time of posting.

I learned last night you can dismantle your buildings, I think when you open the build menu there should be a dismantle button so you can delete like pervious shacks you made, because when I hit "guard" they will walk from my main area to my lil start shack ways away from me

Trust me the Ai frustrates me to no end. The thresher for instance. Manage the wheat to set up for work. I need 100 lets say so you throw the wheat in. The worker starts working and the other Ai come over and remove what Ive put in there and take it to the food bin.. lol WTF?

Them stealing stuff and it just disappears is BS. That needs to change. Otherwise you may as well just let them raid you and do nothing.

Considering your Raid level went up. I believe you should focus on getting your followers Equipped for the next Raid and start kicking Butt.

Anyone know if you lose attribute progress when you die? It seems like I did but not completely sure.

Can't build a wall with gate for the chests yet? Since the raids loot them during the fighting.

cage from what im seeing you have got to set your priorities you will have all of them set to 5 and im thinking that is a main issue your having...the main one that stuck out for me was the forager hut they all were set to 5 so if you might want to lower the priority on some of them. or raise i would think 1 is lowest priority.

Ok you keep wanting to get rid of a settlement thats really simple. Go into thr build menu at the top you have a demolition button, press it walk up to the undesired building and press F. Problem solved. Make sure you hit esc when you are done demolishing i accidentally destroyed a barn that way.

Does anyone have a recommendation on what the "ideal" number of followers for each outpost should be? Trying to keep them productive but also each one sort of has its own economy and food can go pretty quick with 4 followers. Ideally if they can provide food for themselves at each outpost it would be a lot less pain in the ass. Not sure if that's possible yet.

Why is everyone worried about the devs abandoning the game??? Y'all realize that Snail Games USA is a publisher for this game? They published ARK and a hand full of other games. I seriously doubt this game will be abandoned.

Ive found that you need to specialize your citizens. If they have too many options they wont do anything. So like priority 1 lumber and nothing else but delivery and maybe 8 on cooking so they eat.

The complaints about the first base. Why don't you just disassemble it? Never tried it, but it should work right? Also, I accidently found the auto move key 'H" today. You can't sprint, but oh.... so much nicer.

The priority system should maybe be a little more clear My brain inverted the scale.... like 9 is a higher value than 1 so clearly if I want someone to focus research I should set it to the highest value right? No.. you set it as priority number 1... the First thing you should do.... this makes so much sense why my people were avoiding the research table like the F*&kin plague and would only use it when i turned all other priorities to null

I love this game I do Their is so much content it's crazy and also I'm someone that gets bored with games because I find them too be too easy and I fly through the content I can't with this game I play rust once in a while when I had 63 hours a admin had to put in chat too stop reporting him because he's not cheating I get his hours look suspicious but he's legit this game progression takes work

Well I'm glad you play since I love this game but I'm at 160 day finished mostly everything and I have problem .... game become little boring. I think we shuld get some content with epic, mythic, legendary drop weapons from npcs from raids etc... something that add that little tick to game were can be more interesting. We need some items that make a little adrenaline when drop.

I would really like to play this game but it looks like they don’t update a lot and the problems you’re having would really piss me off. Hope it gets better. Love the vids

I understand bugs in EA but not making it clear how things work is unacceptable. Figuring out how basic things work should not be part of the game.
