I have mixed feelings about Bowen Yang. It's great that they hire a gay Asian man. But it kinda perpetuates the stereotype that Asian guys are effeminate and are either nerds or villains. I guess it sort of takes the bite out of sketches where they make the Asian guy look like a woman. That was the problem with Ken Jeong in Community. Great actor in some great episodes. He really shined. But how about the Halloween episode? Why is he dressed up like a female figure skater? This is no big deal to most people because it's been happening ever since Hollywood began. If Asians complain other people just say "Don't you have a sense of humor? It's just a joke." Here's the problem. It's no big deal if you're not a Straight Asian guy. But movies and shows have a big impact on society. There are a Lot of Asian men who had trouble finding girlfriends as they went through life because girls saw them as weak and undesirable. A friend of mine told me he went to a Korean church function. All the women were with white men. Every single one of them. Coincidence? No. That's the effect of media on society. Just because Asians are getting roles now doesn't mean a thing. The Hollywood establishment begrudgingly gives roles to Asians for one reason. Money. The middle class in the US is shrinking. And there's more of an audience in Asia now. How much are you really gonna appeal to Asian countries if you make fun of their guys? This is the kind of mentality Hollywood's stuck in. All they can think about is Money. They can't even understand that giving roles to Asian guys that make them look bad is just gonna make Hollywood look bad. But then Hollywood IS Bad. So there you go. Take a long look at yourself, Hollywood. It ain't pretty. It's pretty Racist LOL :)

Yep, Mulaney is definitely up there with my other favorite SNL guests hosts of the "modern era" - Tom Hanks, Emma Stone, Adam Driver, Ryan Gosling and of course any time Kristin Wiig, Maya Rudolph or Will Farrell return.
