I was actually there this year. The main issue was the number of people who were there illegally. There were many people from surrounding countries who were there illegally like Egypt and Tunisia. Some people were actually scammed by travel agents in their country who brought them illegally. I even saw people who were from USA who tried to finness the system to be there (bro how you gonna come closer to God by lying and finnessing??). The healthcare system was overwhelmed by the people who were there illegally and many of those people ended up dying and many of the people who were there legally couldn't get the help they needed because the people who were there illegally overwhelmed the healthcare system. There were also many heat warnings that told people, especially the elderly to not travel or walk around mid day, but they weren't heeded by many - which is actually against Islam. In Islam we're told to avoid situations that put ourselves in the way of extreme risk like in this case.
