Ever since its inception I have been a fan of Floowandereeze's art. It's playstyle however, is a different thing. So in this video we'll take Floowandereeze on the WCS journey and see if this deck is more than board breakers and hand traps. Sit back, relax and enjoy the music whilst seeing the Floo's in action!

The thumbnail might already spoil a bit of the premisse, but this is not a real deck. It is a bunch of boardbreakers and handtraps in a concise normal summon engine that ends on a floodgate. The most fun I had with this deck is when you are actually able to dodge handtraps yourself.
Anyway, I hope that Konami has a vision to improve its normal summoning playstyle (as that is fun) and disallows ending on a floodgate for that matter as I do love the theme of the deck, just not really the execution. Nevertheless, I might take it out for another spin in the next competitive event as it can be quite powerful in nearly any meta.

I played an obnoxious stun version of the deck for almost half of the DC. Painful but gets the job done

@@cognitivegrub0 the list was a somewhat reduced bird package (3 Robina, 2 eagle, 1 toccan, 1 empen, trap and 2 monarch, no other cards honestly due to space and, well, cost), 9 monster floodgates, cards like dimensional guardian to be even more annoying and after that just a bunch of go 2 cards like change of hearts, storm and stuff like that. The idea was to start with Robina, combo and after empen ns a floodgate and call it a day

@@filippogamberini4026 That is dirty indeed. Was it consistent in setting up the birds though? I often had to rely on search cards to get me to Robina to start the birds from flocking in. Even ran 3 Jack in the Hands for this very reason (still do not like that card).

@@cognitivegrub0 I play other consistency card like pots and small world which works really well both like barrier statues to find Robina. It's not the best tbh, but it happens honestly more than expected. The big issue is like committing to a NS. If Robina gets negated, you're screwed

Eww... not the birds... and especially not shifter... apex avian at least disn't have it's partner in crime with it, the bird that you can special summon after it returns to the hand, and not just once per turn.

Haven't played them in a while, but I quickly remembered why 😅. Crafted some Shifters for when Ritual Beasts get their update as Shifter can be used as a combo enabler in that deck. And since I crafted them, I thought this would be the best deck to (ab)use them, and they did put in some work (and I know, I could use them in other decks too).

@@cognitivegrub0 to be fair, I really don't like floo, and I especially dislike floodgates. Since shifter is a floodgate handtrap, it's the worst kind of card in my book. Floodgates you can get hit by even if they're not on board, even if you go first and it's your turn...

@@Wortigon2000 I am a little conflicted about floodgates. If you can build towards it with a multi-step combo having plenty of room to be disrupted, I think it is somewhat ok (think Vaylantz ending on Dyna). Floos main line being only 3 steps is a too little short in my opinion. I am a fan of 'floodgates' that limit both players during our own turn only, such as Gigantic Spright shutting down Nib for example. Don't think there are many others (can think off Marincess locks both players into water) What I heavily dislike are the no skill hand trap and or set and flip floodgates such as TBCOO, Skill Drain and also Shifter. There is no real skill and interaction with them. Just draw the out is not fun, but it is able to win against the meta, which I wanted to see for myself. Slight plus for the Floos, I do like their art.

@@cognitivegrub0 dunno man, the only floodgate I ever liked was "hidden villiage of the spellcasters", and I only ever used it in my Dark magician deck. Alternatively, as Black Winged Assault Dragon burns for 700 on every monster effect activation, having 3 of them on my endboard with blackwings could potentially count as a floodgate to an extent I guess, as it limits what my opponent can do, but not by directly saying "you can't activate cards" just saying "you're gonna be taxed on that"
