So the hero specs are really not that great, it is not exactly a new class and a lot of them are super generic but the good news is that there is a ton of room for change at this stage and we could expect a bunch more to come. They had already introduced a lot of iconic warcraft 3 classes like the mountain king, dark ranger, farseer.
While they said classes like the Blademaster is a bit too far away for them to work as a hero spec we could definitely be in for a headhunter, a rifleman, a warden an alchemist a witch doctor, a chieftain and a few others. So what exactly are hero talents and which of the lore classes could we expect to see?

Human : Swashbuckler , Vigilante talent tree Dwarven : Brawler , official Drunken Brawler tanking talent tree his drunk AF 😂 Night Elf: Warden Gnome :Tinker Gun Arcane with a few Robo Pets Draenie : Prophet lots of Aura Effects that help the party and a healer Worgan : Pack Leader Rogue with a Pet Orc : Barbarian Conan mix a Fury or Arms Warrior with a Rogue that dodge alot Troll: Witch Doctor Tauren: Medicine Man Undead : Necromancer make them able too equipped their Skeleton with weapons and armor Blood Elf/Void/High Elves : Elven Archer more focused on there bow skills or can be a healer Goblin : Demolition Like too see new Classes that are Racely meant for the main races..

I just want these talents to feel amazing and have immersive visualizations to really push them into greatness like dark ranger with a shadowy kit or something like that. This really needs to happen because the while concept of hero talents is such an amazing idea but will be a huge "L" if they dont get the immersion right.please Bliz! Make this happen for us all

The Hero Talents are essentially just additional specialization talents in their own discrete trees. This eliminates the bloat we saw in WotLK while still giving us considerable progression. It reduces the total number of talent combinations without compromising choice. In my opinion the choice here is actually more meaningful. Any individual specialization has the choice between two trees and each of these trees have several choice nodes. None of the talents appear to just be filler.

the only question is how *useful* will each talent be? if they're all situational except certain ones (aka the useful ones) then they're just bloat again

@@zytha2890 The first iteration shows either a feedback loop or a new mechanic grafted onto the class specialization depending on which Hero Tree you choose. Some have more than others, but there are talents which increase the utility and effectiveness of core class abilities with little to no interplay for the feedback loops or mechanics provided by the trees. The player will be able to get all nodes in a tree. Nodes modify core class abilities and bolster the main feature of the Hero Tree. So long as you use the abilities it modifies and are mindful of the new feature for each available tree, then there should be little to no fat. On an unrelated note, this is giving me the old Glyph system vibes.

They could implement race only classes. Blademaster for Orcs and Mountain Thane for Dwarves. I mean Elves have their own class (DHs) also so it makes sense.

Sorry if blizzard doesnt full on go for blademasters and tinkers and vampires to go included already in this change they are not fully commited in my mind. Make it finally right for the players once again .

Tinker needs to be a class that’s released with the finial titan expansion. Makes sense theme wise to finally bring them into fold on larger base . Can make it that original tinkers found an old titan base that they refitted to be a base for them . Deactivating the original purpose of the device . Can say they learn everything they know about engineering from Titians. Have them cover tank , ranged dps and melee dps positions . Using goblin shredder or a mech as tank. Range dps sets up turrets that do various attacks . Then melee could be the one with 4 arms that goes in and drops various traps and aor domain effects, playing more of a dps support/ control class . While the range is a pure artillery strike type of play . the tank spec can have a cool stance swap between mech form and normal form ( can make a cool looking power suit just for animation ) make it almost similar to stagger but mech builds up dmg then after a certain point you hop out losing various buffs and armor . Can have play style built around entering and exiting mech . Have mech act as a minion with talents that you can use various abilities with by placing down tech to augment mech . Basically have one minions if talent into it that tanks and all tank abilities are centered around it . Make a tether between character and mech that forces them to be near each other like max of 15 yards from each other or something .you could play as a combat engineer running around buffing construct and placing various gadgets to stun , slow or dmg. Could be really cool if fleshed out and would make most sense with a Titian expect

I just wanted them to use elements of multiclassing for the hero talents. Using the hero talents where you main class a Paladin you could have it multiclass priest for the Holy Paladin hero talents, multiclass Mage with Protection Paladin for Spellbreakers, and multiclass druid or shaman with Retribution Paladin for the Heralds of the Sun. I think you could easily with some thought and creativity come up with 3 multiclass options for each main class that would be lore friendly. I just main a Paladin so it's easier for me to think of options there. I know it's a pipedream because "muh balance" is more important than letting players have fun and enjoy the game.

I can definitely see Headhunter and Rifleman, would be easy to implement. Just one tiny error, Axethrower is different from Headhunter (one uses axes, the other throws spears).

oh thank god ive been asking for more specs for a while now including hero specs, id like to see very class catch up to druid with 4 specs then they get a hero spec. a few would be hard like DH for example most i could see is a less movement based DH requiring no movement and it being a dps aswell as maybe a ranged DH as a dps. ive sat down for years playing this game so my brain is filled with 100s of class and spec ideas that would drastically expand the choices

one other big thing i really wanna see is change these hero talents to instead be a hero spec and change the "hero talents" to something else that just makes you change the role of your current spec like taking blood dk and it turns it into a dps spec. there are alot of tank classes id like to dps as the tank spec

You could for example say „allow my profession to override my class talents", and so you enable alchemist hrough alchemy talents, tinker through engineering, etc. u dont need to start with all professions either. MAKE IT HAPPEN FINALLY.

i think undead/foresaken will be a neutrally race soon, some of the side quest in SL and DF have made them a friendly for Gilenas/alliance. The customation options for dark rangers of Belfs and Nelfs should be moved to Undead and done they are a neutral race.

Nice would be mixing of specializations. For example: enhancement shaman + furry warrior = chieftain restoration shaman + shadow priest = witch doctor unholy death knight + frost mage = lich

Druid of the claw should come with the hulking body type. Tauren, and to some degree Kul Tiran, druids would already be covered, but a hulking Night Elf male would look awesome.

It would be nice if we could get an Elune based priest. It’s odd to me that night elves follow Elune yet night elf priest get nothing along the lines of being a priest of priestess of Elune but just “the light” like humans do.

They use to have an Elune spell u til priest specific spells were eliminate and they had star shards. But yea more pest that is a light arcane combo would fit nicely

idk not sold on the idea of "hero specs" yet. Its a neat idea but I don't believe its going to make a huge difference on how we play our class/spec right now but I guess we will see. Also its going to run into the same problem as covenants, say im sold on the idea of a Slayer arms warrior but Colossus arms is way stronger. Also blademaster,spellbreaker, and riftwalker is something I would like to play but I get that they are too much to be added as a spec, hope to see one of them as a class in midnight.

they could do this by creating hero specs that cover 1 spec from 2 different classes and added some of the tool kit from the other. necromancer being unholy/demonology for instance.

i find chieftain more a rank then a class. that is saying you have king class or emperor class. that mean varian was a dubble class then as he would be warrior/ king class xD but witch doctor i would like to see

Shadow Priests are the void class. One of their hero specs is 'Voidwalker'. I'd like a third DH spec based on a melee void archetype to square the circle.

Totemic shaman does not sound lame. If picking that brings some more emphasis to totems I'm all for it. Totems have taken such a backseat in shaman gameplay for it being their whole thing.

Based on my analysis Blizzard actually isn’t going to add more any time soon or possibly at all and they aren’t nearly as open to making changes to this system as they claimed they were. There is copious volume of suggestions on the Forums titled as feedback. Blizzard in their most recent community post on this topic basically came out and doubled down that what they’ve presented is what what we’ll be getting, they might be willing to change a couple but they will be far less flexible than we had hoped. The way they decided to tether each hero tree to 2 existing specs has really painted them into a corner and will be making it difficult to add more in the future, just watch.

I'm just really hoping for a witch doctor that's close to the one in D3, it's so much fun to play. But that'd be like making a whole new class, so it probably won't happen.

They could do something similar to Ragnarok Online albeit just through talents. Start as one class then chose which higher class to play as next. They can atleast further extend the talent tree for these options in the future to give players additional options to play as without actually being seprate classes. Im still hoping to get dps priest that uses holy magic rather than shadow\void users

wow it took them this long to catch up to warcraft 3? on another note a spellbreaker would be a *great* way to balance pvp better instead of requiring 3-4 players to kill 1 healer which effectively doesn't require much defending *or* team work having something that actively consumes their mana would be great

Still waiting on Blood Mage as an option for Mage or Warlock- the inbetween of both classes. Kael'thas was the most prominently known blood mage that used fel, arcane, and fire. Even with this perfect opportunity within Hero Specs they still neglect it as an option sadly. Disappointed you didn't mention them at all during this video considering how interesting they are.

I think Season of Discovery and hero talents are testing the waters for sub classes. I think we’ll see healing mages and tanking warlocks in retail via hero talents in the future.

This system was specifically designed to explore class fantasy with a third talent tree, separate from your class and specialization, as well as aiding your specs throughput. As much as I love GW2 and depth in my games (PoE and more), I have to say this: Your take on how this is a mere poor imitation of NO OTHER game than GW2 is the reason why most MMORPGs get uninformed negative hate. TLDR: the hero talents are for flavor. Relax :)
