I remember watching this about a year after it happened when I was 11 or 12. That's how long it took before they played it on TV back then! lol! Was sooo pumped on it! Absolutely classic!

Any modern bodyboarders should note those old mach 7's were garbage, far too flexible and soft. So those guys were killing it to ride them so well.

They definitely were not garbage, it wasn’t gonna last you all winter that’s for sure 😂. Learned how to standy on the mach 7. Kauaiunderground indahouse CO 90’

For most of the time he says on interviews that he does not care about money, he took what he needs for the basic things. Living on hawaii is a very simple kind of life, they use bicicles all time. Ofcourse the sponsoring is very important to travel.
