The original version of this song has Ren dying at the end (his morbid outlook) but he played the song to a friend who told him he should make it an upbeat ending, so Ren went and thought about it and wrote the new ending, which is the version we all know and love!

Lyme Disease is a bacterial infection, and if diagnosed quickly is easily treated with a course of antibiotics. If it doesn't get treated quickly, the damage from the bacteria becomes systematic affecting various parts of the body and brain. Antibiotics are still used to get rid of the infection, but at an extended duration, and often harsher medication, and while that "cures" the Lyme Disease itself, it doesn't fix all the damage done (or fix the associated conditions resulting from the damage). Ren has had (and continues to have) various treatments, and is much improved from the time when he was bedridden 23 hours a day, but may never get back to "Normal".

Each time it's a treat to watch somebody experience Ren for the first time. His message is so strong. It's like an addiction for me. Between DIMASH and REN there's no room for any more GOATS. Messages delivered by humans that could also win BEST HUMAN Award in the world... If there was one. You got to try experiencing the fun side too with Melvin. You don't know this yet but your favorite rap song is by Ren too. "LOSING IT..." It has BEAST mode too.

Watching all your reactions today I heard you say you haven't watched the interviews et al because you didn't want spoilers for the videos. I've watched it all and without spoilers I want to clarify some things you keep saying to guests about Ren's health as a young man that aren't quite right. Ren didn't have autoimmune disease as a child. He had rather serious ADHD (which likely got him expelled from school) and either clinical or bipolar depression (or both). This is why when he was bitten by a tick at around 17 and he presented at doctors with extreme fatigue and joint pain, after testing negative for all the usual diseases that could be a cause (Lyme disease, which can trigger autoimmunity, is still not considered widespread in Britain and is rarely tested for), given his childhood history of depression, doctors were left to conclude it was psychologically based. Severely depressed people often can't get out of bed and can experience muscle and joint pain. Thus they proscribed psych meds, which didn't work because it wasn't psychological. Ren got worse and worse and the doctors couldn't think of anything else but giving him more and stronger psych meds, again because he was suffering and they could find no physical cause. If you give powerful psych meds to someone without psychosis, it tends to INDUCE psychosis, which is what happened to Ren. And of course the entire situation would make anyone massively depressed, so that added to the problems. In his never-ending search for an answer, Ren managed to finally self diagnose (it's a long story he tells in an interview) and trick the system into giving him the first treatment that helped, which led him to his current diagnosis and regimen. That's the scoop as I've heard him tell it, in brief. Truly remarkable he made it through.

One more thing. I had Lyme but was fortunate to stumble upon Ledum as a treatment during phase 2 if the disease - it was like waking up out of a stooper within 12 hrs. I don't know how effective his treatments will be. My advice to him is to eventually seek answers outside the "sickcare" system. For me, they wanted to do a Whipple procedure on me with 6 - 7 yrs of pain in hell then death. It was that day I quit my job, traveled around the country for a year in an RV and motorcycle towed behind. It became my healing journey and never looked back...

He originally ended the song when the darkness conquered. Sometime later he felt a need to revise it, and added the last verse, and then the spoken word. He mentioned the line about face to face with the beast, i will rise from the east and settle on the ocean floor, just kinda came to him because he was sitting on the beach while pondering where the song should go. I believe it could be a reference to Revelations, or maybe Daniel, both of which Beasts rise from the seas during the end times. but i think he might actually be talking about the Sun (Son), and is just invoking Christ. Maybe someone who is a little more biblically inclined would like to step in here with their thoughts.
@rogerstarkey5390

Sorry, I'm less biblically inclined and I don't like the way some hijack the message (a common occurrence with those "biblically inclined") Stories. . The next line concerning "loosen the noose on the rope" is more significant. . It's "Jump, or don't jump" The voice in *your* head that makes you step back. . Can you tell that I find it quite annoying?

@@rogerstarkey5390 I'm not religious at all, but it's undeniable that Ren uses biblical/religious references in this song. "I was the snake in Eden", Lucifer/antichrist, "it was part of HIS plan that I stand on my own two feet", "face to face with the beast" etc. He could have dramatised the battle with himself without these references, but he chose to include them. So people commenting about those references are not "hijacking the message."

@Skittenmeow
@Skittenmeow Жыл бұрын
I don't see it as retreat, I almost interpret it as integration... the "dark and light" sides singing together with the actual Ren. He starts as himself, then the "darkness" starts intense criticism and dialogue. The attempt to shove and lock up that dark side leads to it completely taking over. Having experienced PTSD psychosis myself this is kinda what lead me to a complete break. Hope comes in quietly and then gets Ren to his feet, and taking over and joining in the full singing. His voice changes so significantly when just the dark side, the end is both hope and darkness joining in on the musical performance...a reflection of where that initial vocal melody was going to go when interupted at the beginning. Leading to the spoken word My thoughts anyway

Morgan Brannon, that’s a very Welsh name she has, both Morgan and Brannon are Welsh so I am guessing she has Welsh ancestry. The beauty of the Welsh language is that most words have multiple meanings due to how words are formed. Morgan comes from Môr + Can Môr meaning that is infinite or boundless, that is in motion/flowing or fluctuating, the Sea. Can means a Song, Sight, Brightness, Whiteness So Morgan can mean abounding with song, Sea Song, someone who with endless brightness, etc Brannon is Brân + Non Brân meaning one that is over, the bird that hovers over or the ominous bird, a crow, the bridge of a musical instrument Non meaning a stream or brook So Brannon means something like the bird the hovers over the stream, so that could be a name for a Kingfisher, or the stream of the crow. So in whole, her name would mean something like the abounding song of the bird that hovers over the stream.

The most impactful lines? Not biblical/ religious. . "You have to kill you if you want to kill me" That'll be suicidal thoughts (confirmed by other songs) . During the "manic" section... "I am you, you are me, I am you, Ren" It's HIS demon. ... "Some know me as the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope" .... The voice in your head that stops you...... Pulls you back from the ledge.... Liberates you. .... "Ferocious, persistent, immortal like you.... We're a coin, minted different sides" . Recognition of his demon, that it will always be there, but also that his rational self is just as strong, two sides of the same coin (person). . Go back to "calm Ren", understanding lets him live with it. ....

So many miss the battle between Hope and Temptation. Temptation: You can't kill me I'm immortal. Hope: Oh yeah? I go by many names also, some people know me as Hope; and I am enteral! Cower at the man I've become! We are coins of a different side. Also, 21:00 Many things are not "curable" in the united states. Like arthritis and many other things. Stemcells are banned in the united states. Aloud in Canada, Mexico. Mushrooms for depression and anxiety in U.K. However, the damage from Lymes attacking his bones and such is permanent but with cells can regenerate much.

Yes, you caught the spiritual meanings! I've watched a lot of reactions for this song, and very few catch it! This song is way more religious than most people realize. This song is Satan cast to the earth, people being made from the very same earth (we are satan), and our only hope being Christ in us. This song is Matthew 24:27, Most of the beast references in Revelation, and Ephesians 3:16 among many others! Nice job guys!

No! Ren has contradicted that.
@mikesemus9773
@mikesemus9773 Жыл бұрын
It's not really, Ren has said as much, but the beauty of the song is it resonates with the battle between the darkness and the light that we all deal with, so the meaning varies with the listener. IMO that is the mark of a truly great song, the original meaning of the artist becomes secondary to the meaning found by the listener. So it's not that you are incorrect, it's more that your personal views are shaping the meaning for you, just as they will for the rest of us and we will each find our own "truth" from the performance. Blessings to you and yours for your great insight, you are definitely not alone in finding biblical/spiritual themes throughout.

Rise from the East & settle on the ocean floor isnt biblical. Its the Sun. But the snake in Eden etc is biblical. The pig is a runing theme in his work. It references 2 cult classics. 1. Lord of the Flies by William Golding. Shipwrecked schoolboys descend into savagery & murder while hunting wild pigs to survive. The pigs represent many things in this . 2. Cukt classic & political allegory Animal Farm by George Orwell. Aninals take back the farm from the abusive humans, but then the pigs take over & abuse their power too, ending up walking on 2 legs, like humans.

Actually, I'm pretty sure The Beast rising from the east is a reference to the Antichist in Revelations 13. "The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea." and while I commend your analysis of the pig, I think people are going to be pretty surprised when Ren reveals the answer, which if I'm right, is coming in August.

It's Both. Hear me out. Clearly he makes many biblical references in this song, we can agree on that right? What most people don't know, especially Christians, is that Jesus is the Sun (Son) God. Even his birthday, Christmas, is the rebirth of the Sun, after the solstice. He references the Beast to guide you, but he's talking about the Sun, and merely invoking Christ. He's says it flat out in the end, it's not David vs. Goliath, it's a pendulum. But, It's not Good, Evil, and You. There is only one character in this song. You are not the pendulum. You are the entire Clock. You are both, and to accept that is to better know how to deal with it. Ren's message in this song is to know thyself, and to understand that the good, and the bad, is in all of us.
@Skittenmeow
@Skittenmeow Жыл бұрын
@@twistedpixel756💯 I've seen Buddhists, Abrahamic faiths, atheists, pagans etc all find meaning in this song. The symbols are universal, and perhaps just part of humanity. Any part of humanity can take meaning from this message and not need to claim it as their "own" other than it has been shared with us. He uses some biblical references, perhaps because that's how his psychosis manifested.

Yes, it's also worth noting Fasting can help with some autoimmune and inflammation related conditions, but make sure you seek your/a Dr's advice beforehand so it can be done safely. The body has a defence mechanism called "Autophagy" where it will release cells that target poorly performing, broken or redundant cells for re-absorption when it's starved of food, to recycle them. This essentially means it can "eat" the problematic cells in your body that are causing some of the medical issues and fix the condition, or reduce it.

So, slight corrections: He heard a voice when he was young (around 7) but that faded as he got older. Then, at about 17, he contracted lyme disease. Then for about a full decade, he was misdiagnosed with a variety of neurological and mental issues and provided with improper medications. He never gave up and found a specialist in Belgium that did the test and gave him a proper diagnosis, but the treatment for the damage that the lyme disease caused to his body was so far out of his reach that he was certain he wouldn't live to see 30. While he was at his lowest point, he recorded videos about his situation in the hope that he might save someone else from suffering the same issues that he has. A specialist in California saw his videos and offered him an experimental stem cell treatment provided he could get himself to the clinic. Needless to say, he wasted no time in getting the money together to swing the travel. He responded very well to the treatment, which allowed him to regain a significant improvement to his quality of life. He still suffered a lot of pain and damage to his brain, joints, and organs. He started specialized treatment in Canada at the beginning of 2023, with an optimistic estimate of half a year. Once they were able to do a full diagnostic, however, that estimate was extended, and it now looks like he will likely be in treatment through the end of the year. Meanwhile, on March 29, he turned 33.
