Just a pedantic point of correction on the idea that there aren't British coins of the same size and colour, old English Crowns are pretty much identical in size to Morgan Dollars, are also silver and available with Queen Victoria on which is a great talking point.

Old English Crowns are similar but there is a difference in thickness as well as the finish on the edges. Of course, some people may like the old crowns more but an issue is that one will need to have custom gimmicks made for them whereas Morgan Dollar gimmicks are more common. I spent a lot of time when I was younger looking through vintage/antique shops for coins but never found anything I liked as much as Morgan Dollars. Though, I’m sure there will be lots of good alternatives around the world that will be similar.

Crowns are decent! Larger than a morgan just slightly and double florins are also another large British coin but smaller than the morgans just. I got a set of morgan schoolcraft but have been debating getting a crown set made up, they would be sick.

There are lots of things you can do with the set from beginner level all the way to expert. You’ll get the most out of this set if you have a book/video that teaches routines for the gimmicks that come in the set. So I recommend buying some kind of instructions to go with it.

I just bought 2 real morgans every month for 6 months until I had enough to work with. The morgan shell did cost me 170 dollars though.

Of course, nothing will replace having a set of genuine silver coins but not everyone has the money for it. Pure silver coins are just lovely to handle.

Hi i was wondering if you added a magnetic clip holder to this set could the split focus routine be performed?

No. You can use a magnetic clip with this set of coins but the Split Focus coins work in a completely different way to this set.

@@EverythingMagicPro99 is split focus worth the money compared to this morgan set? Im under the impression that you are limited to certain routines with split focus and with the coins being gaffs they are none examinable by the spectators. Where as this set you do get some normal replicas that could be handed out fir inspection if that makes sense.

Personally I think Split Focus is worth the price. It’s made really well and also comes with an ungimmicked coin. It depends what kind of routine you want to perform because split coins are totally different from shells.

I have a set of 4 Chinese knock off Morgans plus a shell and a flipper (slippery Sam?) but the shell doesn't fit over the flipper. Can still perform miracles with them. I am interested in the set you offer although they don't look much different and I live in Thailand.

A flipper coin is very different to a slippery Sam. It’s not normal for a shell to fit over a flipper coin. A shell usually fits over a regular coin. However, I recommend this set of coins from magicshop.co.uk as a good quality set.

They look more grey than real morgans. Great price though.

They are quite dark/greyed but genuine Morgan dollars vary in colour, like any coins. Walking Liberty’s are the same. Sometimes they’re very shiny silver and other times they’re very dull and grey.
