Nice to see Morgan's grave. I expected to see some she'll casings and more pool chalk cubes or a pool ball. I haven't been there but hope to go this next year. That was quite the train wreck that you stumbled across. Thanks for showing us his grave and I also wanted to thank you for mentioning my Morgan Earp video.

I'm so glad you made this video, Ron. I live in Colton. Both sides of my family are buried here. I've worked with one of the Great granddaughter of Wyatt Earp, Sally. She still works at the same workplace. I've known her for years very nice girl. Wyatt had a house in Colton not to far from the cemetery. I had a friend who lived there as a teenager. I remember going there many times. She would tell me it's haunted. Not sure who lives there now. Behind you, Where Morgan is buried, is a vacant field. It used to be a place called, Frontier Town. It was built to look like the Wild Wild West. They would have shows every hour and guys would dress like Cowboys. The Frontier Town closed down in 2004 and knocked down in 2005. Sadly, it was one of my favorite childhood memories. It was my Grandma's 19th death anniversary, I just visited the cemetery this past Saturday. Too bad I missed you. I love watching your videos. God Bless.

Oh Anna, you have some really intriguing Earp connections. Long ago I had some connections with the Earp descendants in Monmouth, Illinois, through one of my business partners who grew up there. I had the fortune of viewing a lot of the old manuscripts from the Earps. Anyway, I was there And Colton and other areas near LA and shot six episodes about a month ago, beautiful area I was based in a hotel in Rancho Cucamonga. All that stuff will be coming out, another one (a really good one) this Sunday night 8 PM central time, premier

@@lhzook - VERY good point. You are correct. Must be from one of the brothers. 100% could not be Wyatt - he absolutely had NO children, not even with his Sadie. (that anyone knows of!! Now wouldn’t that be earth shattering if something came out on that??!!)

I went to college in Riverside and my roommate was from Colton. I remember the frontier town when we would go to her parent's house (typically after a night at Club Metro...since demolished). I remember her late father telling us an Earp was buried near there and we both thought he was full of it. Maybe one day we will make it back there to see it.

Another GREAT Western story, Ron! Always enjoyed historical background on the Earps. What's interesting...just as much history concerning this family took place right here in Wichita...probably more so, but the folks of Dodge City embraced their Western Heritage, opposed to those in Wichita that didn't want to be reminded that we were a simple cowtown...Ha! By the way...Ed Masterson is buried in Highland Cemetery, here in Wichita...with his folks. He was killed, as you know, in Dodge City after Wyatt and the clan headed for Tombstone. Another grave to visit🤠👍

Awesome video! I live 17 miles from Tombstone, and have studied the history exhaustively. Morgan's assassins included Frank Stilwell, Pete Spence, a man named Bode, another named Freize, with Indian Charlie and Hank Swilling as lookouts. Ike Clanton had nothing to do with that particular event. Neither did Curly Bill Brocius or John Ringo. And the Vendetta Ride included Wyatt, Doc Holliday, "Texas Jack" Vermillion, Sherm McMaster, Warren Earp, Charles "Hairlip Charlie" Smith, "Turkey Creek" Jack Johnson, and Dan Tipton. They were empowered by Deputy U.S. Marshal Wyatt Earp as a Federal Posse, and were chased across Southern Arizona by Sheriff Johnny Behan's County Posse, composed primarily of outlaws, cattle thieves, and stage robbers. And despite the tombstone, I don't believe Morgan was a Deputy U.S. Marshal. He served as a policeman in Kansas, Montana, and Tombstone, A.T.

There was some dispute over Morgan Earp's burial site because he was originally interred at the old city cemetery called Slover Mountain Cemetery in Colton. His remains were moved when that cemetery closed down due effects of mining operations by the Slover Mountain Mining Co. in 1892. Morgan was buried in a suit provided by Doc Holliday who always said that Wyatt Earp was his friend, but he dearly loved his brother Morgan.
