Dude is 55. Born in 1968. 1 year older than me. Just killing it for over 2 decades. I've been trying to tell people how amazing Morgan is as not only drummer but he's doing a lot of vocals at the same time in the actual song and let's not even get into how great he is as a lyricist. His writing talent is easily on the same level. I'm amazed with him and every member of this band.

I've never understood why Morgan, doesn't use two bass drums
@knreal2 жыл бұрын
He did technically use a double kick kit on the Kill the Flaw album cycle. Most drummers use the pedal now but still have second kick drum live for show.
@HKSMan052 жыл бұрын
yeah it's become more of a visual thing to people who are into the drums enough to notice that kind of thing :) most top drummers now can do alot of shit on one pedal they can on two... they still use the second so they aren't abusing the one leg but yeah I've seen Shannon Lucas double kicking with one foot 🤣🤣🤣
@WhyTheHorseface4 жыл бұрын
does he run a click in his ears all night?
@knreal4 жыл бұрын
WhyTheHorseface I assume so. What you hear on the video is what he hears in his in Ear monitors. Certain songs he uses certain samples and vocal parts to help him guide through a song.
@robertheflin24004 жыл бұрын
There is no way he runs a click all night, that would drive you insane, fool
@knreal4 жыл бұрын
Robert Heflin yes he does play to a click EVERY song and show. They have programmed intros between songs and a click goes with it. He uses other samples in songs to guide him through the song. Trust me, This drum hang shed a lot of light on what he does.
@WhyTheHorseface4 жыл бұрын
Ken Real Thanks for your insight! I see he has two snare stands rigged to his rack for those toms. Seems he should add a third for that wobbly snare!
@WhyTheHorseface4 жыл бұрын
Craig Babineaux He plays to a click because they run pre-recorded parts on a computer that he has to be in sync with. If they didn’t play along with “tracks”, he could still keep the band in time because “real drummers” (as you say) keep good time. It has nothing to do with the singer and everything to do with the fact that they have more sound onstage than the band is actually creating.
