Lyrics:
Have you ever…
Walked a little faster after midnight when you’re all alone
Have you ever…
Pulled your jacket tighter while pretending that you’re on the phone
Have you ever…
Held your tongue when someone tried to call you baby
If you say a word he’s gonna call you crazy
Well I have, and she has too
We all know that it’s “Not All Men”
We all know that it’s “Not All Men”
But it’s some of them
so we hold our breath, Baby none the less
We say “No” but they still hear “Yes”
Blame our clothes and it’s “Not All Men”
But, it’s All Women
So we hold our breath, baby none the less
Have you ever…
blamed yourself for drinking thinking maybe you’re the reason why?
Have they ever…
Said that you were lying ‘cause he’s handsome and he’s way too nice?
Have you ever…
felt like you were beaten but they left no bruises?
If you tell the truth say say “His life is ruined”
Well I have, and she has too
We all know that it’s “Not All Men”
We all know that it’s “Not All Men”
But it’s some of them so we hold our breath
Baby none the less
We say “No” but they still hear “Yes”
Blame our clothes and it’s “Not All Men”
But, it’s All Women
So we hold our breath, baby none the less
And their words were like a bad tattoo:
“Too prude”
“She was asking for it”
“Trust issues”
“Bad news”
“She was fucking boring”
“She was such a whore”
and
“Ugly in the morning”
And it’s “Not All Men”
But It’s All Women

*This comment is extremely long, but please read all of it. People NEED to be educated.* This was another song, let alone an artist I discovered on TikTok, and let me say GIRLLLLLLLLLL, This song has power!!!!! I do, however, wanna put my input in on this whole "Not All Men" bullshit. I've been raped, sexually assaulted, sexually harassed, and physically assaulted. I've been catcalled since the age of 10 because to men, "I don't look, dress, or act my age." I'm tired of people saying that being catcalled isn't a form of sexual assault.....um, sorry to burst your bubble, but yes, it is. It's also verbal harassment. Especially when you ignore their comments, and they start throwing out slurs like "Whore" "Slut" "Bitch" "Skank," tell me that's not verbal harassment cause it is. I've been threatened to get pregnant and threatened to be raped by dudes I don't even fucking know. I've been followed to my car and even to my house at night and in broad daylight. I have guys sending me dick pics on Snapchat all the fucking time talking bout some "you like" or "come suck it" I- I AIN'T ASK FOR THAT SHIT. That's fucking disgusting. I openly carry a taser, pepper spray, a knife, an alarm, a window breaker, a Kubaton, brass knuckles, and a whistle. Sadly, I can't take 6 out of the 8 items into sports events, concerts, or movie theaters because they are a weapon. To my Men: We know that it's "Not All Men' WE FUCKING KNOW THIS. But how is a female supposed to know which men will hurt her and which men aren't? Especially when we are out at night, walking to our cars, being outside in general. How are we supposed to know? We don't know, so therefore IT IS all men. * Also, stop continuing to ask for nudes, sex, or any type of interaction once they say no. NO MEANS FUCKING NO. STOP CONTINUING TO ASK. They can also change their minds, especially once they have given consent to having sex or any form of interaction. "I don't want to anymore" "I don't feel like it." "Maybe" "No" "I don't know" "No Thank You" "I don't feel comfortable." All of these, are NOT a "Yes." If yes never came out of their mouth, then IT IS a NO. *(This applies to both Men and Women.)* To People who blame Rape Victims: FUCKING STOP IT. It's NEVER the rape victim's fault. Stop asking them, "well, what were you wearing?" "Why didn't you scream or fight back?" WHY DOES IT MATTER WHAT THEY WERE WEARING?!?!? No form of clothing is an open invitation to have sex. Young-ass children are being raped in their pajamas and you ask that shit? Do you fail to realize that many victims can't fight back due to them being drugged? Date rape exists, remember that. Many won't remember what happened to them because of their drinks being drugged. With trying to fight back, 99% of the time the person doing the rape, is 3 times the size of the person they are raping, and most victims do try and scream, but does anyone come to help save them? No, no one comes. Those who have tried to scream, have either had a hand placed over their mouth, something put into their mouth, or have been told "If you scream, I kill you." Another point, stop telling them when they come out about their rape experience "It didn't happen." "You just want attention." When they wanna take the case to court stop telling them "You're gonna ruin their/his/her life." OKAY AND?!?! Does it look like they give a flying fuck? They ruined my life, so, therefore, payback is a bitch. *(This applies to both Men and Women.)* To my Women & Men with young/teenage Daughters: *Please teach and educate them and if you ever find out that they abused, assaulted, or even raped a woman or man. That is no longer your daughter.* Stop telling them to go change their outfits when "Uncle Randy" is coming over. If you have to tell them this, then maybe Uncle Randy shouldn't be coming over anymore. Your child is in the safety of their own home, and most teenagers stay in their rooms when people come over. Trust me, I know this, I'm one of those teenagers who don't like leaving their room when there is company over. But, if you have to tell them to change when you know that they are going to stay in their rooms and your excuse is "I'm trying to protect you." That's a fucking issue, and you need to take Uncle Randy to court. You know something that you need to speak out about. To my Women & Men with young/teenage Sons: *Please teach and educate them and if you ever find out that they abused, assaulted, or even raped a woman or man. That is no longer your son.* Teach your sons how to respect women, especially because they came from one. To my Women & Men with young children: Please teach them the CORRECT terms of their body. It helps children develop a healthy, more positive body image, instead of using nicknames that their genitals are something shameful or bad. It also gives them the correct language for understanding their bodies and asking questions about sexual development. - Penis - Vagina - Clitoris - Vulva - Scrotum - Anus These are not bad words, THESE ARE YOUR CHILDREN'S BODY PARTS FOR FUCK SAKE. Stop giving your daughters especially, the nickname "Cookie" in terms of their vagina. Cause what happens when they come to tell you that someone touched their cookie? What does your mind go to? Actually cookies or their vagina? Schools don't teach Sex Education well at all. Schools teach students more about STDs, STI's, HIV, other sexually transmitted diseases, and the MALE reproductive system than the women's reproductive system. I had to self-educate myself on my own body, and I'm a female. That's also why MANY men know very little about how the female body works, and then try to tell us how it works. SHUT THE FUCK UP

Being a girl I'm either proud I was born as a female, then there are times I wish I was man, I wish I didn't have to normalize being harassed growing up, I wish I had their privilege. I wish I didn't have to paranoid when it comes to males. What pisses me of the most is when the girl gets blamed for what happens to them, especially rape. You know what causes rape? Rapist, not their clothes. How is it so hard for men to understand "Yes," and "No," the most basic two words you learn as a dang child. I'm young, a teenager acutaly and let me tell you, I wish people in my life informed me what to do when being sexual assaulted and touched by my male classmate. When it happened, I didn't know what to do, so I just kept my mouth shut, cause I was uncomfortable and never been in that situation, after that event there was another with him I wish to not talk about. After it happened I realized that it's happened before, in the 7th grade, by a different male class mate when he kept playing with my bra strap and my shoulder, I was so young back then and didn't understand. I thought it was NORMAL. I wish my school and adults taught me better, and what to do in this situation, cause even right now as I'm writing this, if it were to happen again, I still wouldn't know what to do

Its not all men, but its enough to make a woman question her choice of clothing. Is this skirt too short? Does this shirt show too much? Can I walk around with my stomach exposed in the 90 degree heat, or should I put on longer shorts and a t-shirt. Can someone come and pick me up because my shift ends later at night than I like so I need to have reassurance that I won't be assaulted. Can I live on my own, because I'm scared a random stranger will see me in my window and decide its fine to come back later and force his way in? Do I like the way that new supervisor touched my shoulder; should I say anything every time I feel his eyes on me? This song nails what women have to face every day. Thank you so much for posting this. It's not all men, but it is all women who have to think about their actions and what the consequences might be.

@generikuser except for the fact that while crime rates may be raised there is q history of violence perpetrated against women for centuries. Most of the immediate heinous crimes against women in my immediate area that made nationwide news were not caused by someone who you indicated in the deleted comment above. They were perpetrated because the men knew the area. . . Grew up there and saw a pretty woman and decided to play out their sick fantasies. Until people have self control the situation isn't going to change. Regardless of their race ethnicity, country they were born. Ted bundy wasn't an immigrant. Btk wasn't an immigrant. The Sunday slasher wasn't an immigrant. H.h. Holmes. Son of Sam. Jeffrey Dahmer. Ed gein. I did not post the aforementioned response to the video for political means or to decry a specific ethnic group as you had mentioned to me. It was a generalized posting about how women are not safe in this world and how they are targeted.

It's nothing to glorify or even justify, it's horrible and deplorable no matter what. And even despite what the media may say, we have brains, we know right from wrong. And what you and plenty of other women have gone through is WRONG. It's not all Men. I pray that you get help you need and move on with your life.

Stay strong. You know stuff like that also happens to boys. I'm sorry for what happened to you. You will never completely heal the wounds but one day you will be able to laugh the pain away. Remember it was not your fault, none of it was your fault. Talking about it with people you trust helps the most. Let your tears out and speak up. Our words have so much Power, the more you talk about it the better you will feel. The first step to heal a bit is to accept who you are and that you can't change what happened to you. I also recomend Self love Meditation and maybe some self love hypnose (there are Videos on KZfaq). There are at least the things that helped me. I also recomend the Song "better from Kerli" and also "Blossom from Kerli". These songs might also help a bit with the healing process.

A couple weeks ago me and a few other girls confronted a lad on something insensitive that he had put on his story about rape and sexual assault. When we did this, every single boy in that room started to say its not all men they called one girl a bunch of names said that our statistics were incorrect even though we told them the sources. By pointing out the behaviour of one person, it causes others to recognise their own behaviour and one of two things happen. They either realise they're in the wrong and try and reform or they go on the defensive and have to inflate their own egos in order to feel better about their actions. Frome experience it's usually the latter. And its exhausting

It first happened when I was 3. It was my paternal uncle who's known me since birth. It wasn't penetration but it still makes me feel sick. I was touched again by a random taxi driver. I was 8 and I was wearing a full sleeve shirt and long skirt. It wasn't penetration but I was disgusted. It happened when I was 12 and it was a friend I used to trust so much. He groped me against my will and said that it was because I was tempting everyone around me. It would have happened if my other friend didn't spot us and punch him in the face. I want to say something to the kids that go through this. You are not the problem here. You are a child and you haven't done anything wrong by dressing or acting a certain way that seems "tempting". It's just that there are so many filthy sickos that sexualise you and make you doubt yourself. Never doubt yourself and give up on yourself because of such people.

makes me also think of guys wondering why I haven't had sex in a long time and them being like "well girl I can change that". them completely ignoring the fact that I have been raped and sexually assaulted more than just once. By now I'm very open about the fact that these things happened to me because I stopped feeling ashamed of it or blaming myself, despite the reactions I got when I first opened up about it (one of them was my brother telling me, I wasn't raped and he'd also jump a girl if she was hot and sleeping at his place and he woke up horny... very messed up btw) there have been so many guys over the years being like "yeah well but I'm not like that" - might be true but that doesn't take away the trauma or stops me from having panic attacks when being intimate with someone. men telling women it's okay to just have fun when you've been traumatized by that exact thing is a real issue. not respecting boundaries, even if you openly communicate them. that's an issue. if people could respect each other and their boundaries, things like that wouldn't happen. and people telling others they are "anti-everything" just because they stand their ground and stick with their "no" isn't helping either.

if lesbians can control themselves when a girl is wearing revealing clothes, why cant guys? so is it the clothings fault, or men?

You cant say men collectively because i doubt youve met every man on the planet. And you also cant say lesbians collectively cause trust me some lesbians are not innocent

If someone would please read for a moment because I need another opinion about this. This day I was wearing a baggy shirt that was very comfortable. On this day I went on my cousin's trampoline and he decided to wrestle me out of no where and pin me to the trampoline while sitting on me I couldn't move and was very uncomfortable. My cousin said "you know I could take your shirt off you right?" I was so uncomfortable and felt uneasy I think this would be sexual harassment but I need another opinion please. Another time with the same person my cousin wrestled me out of no where again and said he would kiss me on the lips I hated that he would do this, wrestle me out of no where and make me uncomfortable. He also almost stabbed me. My parents know about how he almost killed me and I don't hang around him anymore. I just would like to know if someone would classify this as sexual harassment please let me know.

Oh hun 🥺 sadly that would be considered sexual harassment and possibly go under sexual assault

I lobe the way she points out that it's not all men (what I also totally stand behind) but she still mentions the problem that it's always all women

The dislikes are all the people getting their panties in a twist and are the ones saying 'not all men'.

A guy once told me it's not all men. So I asked him for a list of predators. He never gave me my list.
