This song was my besties ANTHEM when she had stage 3 colon cancer and we found out (while she was in the hospital, post-opt) that her husband of 25 years was cheating on her. It was such a sad song and she would cry years ago, but now we go out and play this at the bar or even karaoke to it and it’s a totally different vibe now. We ROCK out to this song and make it clear that it’s no longer a sad song for her, it’s a positive song!

Morgan Wallen is chill. He's gone through some stuff and made it out so it's hard to not root for the guy. I enjoy his music. Another artist I like right now is Luke Combs. He did a cool song with Upchurch called Outlaw. LC was scared to get canceled and distanced himself from it because the video has a confederate flag but aside from that its still a cool, country video. Reminds me a lot of growing up in a small town.

You’re right about the Taste of Country Risers acoustic performance of Cover Me Up. It’s just Morgan with his band mate Dominic Frost also on acoustic and harmony. Their harmony is sick - my favorite version of Morgan’s Cover Me Up. And if you weren’t aware, Morgan co-wrote this (Wasted on You) along with so many other great songs in his ever increasing body of work. He’s just getting better. I also MUST disagree that he’s too good for country music! He may definitely be TOO good - he’s great but he IS the soul of country. Love anything he does. ♥️🎶🎶

Mo' and Dominic have done many acoustic sessions available on KZfaq going back as far as 2016; some of them live in clips such as "Taste of Country", etc. He and Dominic have even begun doing some alternate-stage, three song sets at some of his concerts acoustically and alone. Morgan and Dominic at one point began informally back stage playing and singing the Jason Isbell song Cover Me Up, and it was their and others' affinity for their sessions of that song that lead to an official cover and release of that track, which is not a single, yet triple platinum so far. Morgan’s best song is one that three of his friends wrote about his life called “Don’t Think Jesus”. Definitely his best. Sand In My Boots, Quittin Time, and Livin the Dream are also very good deep songs by him.
