Yeah, it's quite sad. She definitely had reason to resent Uther, and I think Merlin as well honestly, though I always felt bad for Arthur because he never really did anything to her at all. (Same with Gwen.) I wish Morgana had turned to Arthur instead of Merlin, because I feel like he almost would've done a better job at helping her? Who knows lol.

@@SoniaJoie well I still think she was in the tower after Merlin poisoned her that would completely explain her turning her back on Arthur without any doubts ("I thought we were friends" "As did I" she looked so vulnerable and sounded so disappointed there it breaks my heart every single time and I really do think she was manipulated into hating him, forgetting they used to be friends... he did bring back those happy yet painful memoriesfor a second tho) Also I think she thinks Arthur does not stand up for her enough, he is too similar to uther for her liking, he outlawed magic as well and (one thing I am really mad about) he did not try to help her, did not try to bring her back into the light (i only see the "what happened to you, Morgana" and "I thought we were friends" as trying but by than she was too far gone for a long time, her old kind self was completely shuttered and buried in her darkness) As for Gwen if my tower hc is real that is actually reason enough but if I forget that for a sec, Gwen and Arthur being in love might have been really painful for her, Arthur was the golden boy, gwen was her only friend and completely on her side (being annoyed by Arthur laughing about him together y'all know what I mean) when Gwen fell for Arthur, Morgana lost her best friend to the golden boy, painful, Morgana did try to go back to being friends or at least having Gwen nearby again whe she captured her because I think she missed and loved her all along even if those feelings were twisted and locked away... The vision of Gwen becoming queen somshow terrified her I think... it put Morgana and Morgauses goal in danger (we all know Morgana really did love Morgause and she tried to accomplish her plan in Morgauses honor I think) so Gwen becoming Queen was offending to her and Morgause I feel like something like that made her hate gwen (or the hate is just her twisted love idk shes just so complex and well never know ) Wow I dont even know where all this comes from lmao 😂 (also it is 3.40 am rn so yeah my brain.. )
