Mori used to only be called Mori girl or boy. Dark Mori was called Strega since it was inspired by the strega witch lore. The other sister fashion you didn't mention is Dolly kei.

(also i know you did gyaru fashion before a while back but im really interested to see specifics. for me personally really hope to see one dedicated to hime gyaru style! its my favorite gyaru fashion but i dont really it much unless its really old picture or videos)

Im so happy you made this video, i love dark mori/strega fashion but people think im 'fairy grunge' or cottagecore 😭

I was never a fully fledged mori girl but I loved so much of it and bought clothes from Wonder Rocket and other stores I don't remember. Unfortunately I didn't live in Japan at the time so after I left I spent a lot of time on the Wonder Rocket website and saved pictures of their clothes into a large folder for inspiration. I probably still have that time capsule from 2009-2010 lying around... Lately I have been getting back into sewing and I am inspired to use my inherited patterns from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I have also bought sewing books with lolita patterns as there are a lot there that I can use as a base and make my own instead of how they are styled in the book. I have no intention of going for a specific style but I am going to make and wear whatever I feel like. I need more fun in my life!

Mori kei holds such a special place in my heart ~♡ I miss being active with it and wanna bring it back into my wardrobe 🥺 (I use to also run amino group for this style)

I have been wearing mori kei for many years now but I didn't know much about the history. I watched it come and go in Japan while wearing other jfashions and admired it then but I didn't know the origin with Choco. I wonder how big our community is because I have talked to many people into it on different platforms but we are so scattered it's hard to tell if it's still alive.

was sooooo happy when i saw this upload!! i used to be super into mori kei when i was a teenager (as well as lolita) & i have been thinking abt it recently (esp when cottagecore was trending, i was like this is just mori kei 2.0 lol!!) i even did a school research project on mori kei when i was 14 :D

I was so suprised to see finnish in the Samantha Moss storefronts. The first storefront (1:22:37) has text "keittiö" which means kitchen and the second storefront (1:23:55) reads "ehkä söpö" which means "maybe cute"
