Hey Grant! THANK YOU...for reacting to this original by Morissette. Sadly this song is about her separation from her dad. They had a falling out and do not speak anymore. I believe the 'cry' at the end of the song is so powerful because it a little girl and now a woman screaming to be seen and heard. I also want to point out that Morissette is an "indie artist" and that the songs from this event were all done by a very small team on a limited budget and most importantly at the height of the Covid situation which was quite brutal in the Philippines. But isn't that what great artists do....create art....under any circumstances?!? PS....your new look is working as well! lol

The big big difference between MORISSETTE and the rest she is unbelievable LIVE, consistently time after time delivering these vocals that are completely untouchable, i really dont think she one of the best because i think she is THEE best by quite a long long way, such versatility comes at a premium and premium she is, your right what you say about artist's being boxed, this is why she is always about being an independent artist, she refuses point blank to being something shes not, she turned down capital records a few yrs ago under the guidance of Rhett Lawrence Mariah Carey's producer because he tried to take her in a direction she didnt want to go, my sentiment is if it aint broke dont fix it ESPECIALLY if your name happens to be MORISSETTE AMON LAMAR the GOAT 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
