Thank you, Grant Ray. I see that you are also so busy these days with your performances, gigs and events, but you still find time to feature Morissette on your channel. Much appreciated. This song she co-written with her now husband Dave Lamar during the covid pandemic, and it was meant to send the message of hope to all people especially those who were adversely affected, hence we see some shots of the frontliners and common folks from the Philippines. At the same time, it was also a depiction of Mori's career as she had "risen from the ashes" of negativity, failures and disappointments. You would notice as she ascended the stairs from the dark basement room followed the throwback videos of some of her accomplishments like the ones with Jessie J., Alan Menken and Will Smith, 2017 Asia Song Festival, "Made" concert, as well as with her family, and Dave with their pet. I agree with you, we all need these kind of music that inspires, uplifts and empowers. Just like the old days when we were listening to Whitney's "One Moment in Time", or Mariah's "Hero" and the like. Time and again we are faced with difficult, troubling, and challenging situations, whether in our environments or within ourselves, and we always need to hear these kind of encouragement that lighten our spirits. Glad to see you are now getting more into Morissette's original work. You have featured "Love You Still" and "Phoenix", please watch also the other three songs in her "Signature" EP, namely "Will You Stay", "Mirror", and "Trophy".

Hi Grant! I couldn't agree with you more! I found Morissette at the beginning of Covid...when the world was dark....Morissette brought color back into my life. This song/EP came out during the height of Covid and Morissette managed to put out a world class EP. May I recommend the other songs....there are still gems for you to mine. PS...the new outfit is fantastic!

You mentioned 2 Mariah songs she covered. Please check out "Through the Rain" (in blue dress) and "Can't Take That Away" in her Mariah Medley, either in red outfit or at Music Museum. But use her father Amay Amon's video for best recordings.

As good as Mariah was she doesn't carry the same weight as MORISSETTE for me and I will tell you why, she's never altered her persona, she still has that girl next door, she's never got above her station, she's very respectful, she's a very classy LADY of the highest order, she's never looked down on anyone, this is why she held in very high regard with her peers i.e. REGINE VELASQUEZ absolutely loves performing with her and even she thinks she is the best of the best, the mainstream industry needs to take a leaf out of her book on how to carry yourself and not be an egoistic attention seeking self obsessed diva that unfortunately plagues the industry, I think this is one the reasons that's scared her from being thee greatest most popular ARTIST out there because she's spoke about it many times on how people in the industry have tried to change her, she is who she wants to be and nothing or no one will change that, I think the thing applies to SOHYANG as well, I think the industry in general is very unforgiving when you just want be yourself and not one of these smutty little popstars 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️
