If only the mic could talk..I just laugh whenever I hear Morissette does her latest! She is a vocal assassin, the destroyer of every notes that are so high you'll need Space X to reach it while maintaining the most beautiful tone you'll ever hear. It makes you wonder when you anticipate her hitting that one breath note how is that generated inside her? You can sense how her body bends and preps to launch that burst of energy from within. She introduced this song to us on her last extended date of her Phoenix anniv concert if you recalled. They have to move to their producer's house because they had a blackout the night she's gonna play this for us. I knew then this is going to be one of her greatest hits. That's why she is the greatest vocalist of our time! I'm sorry, but I had the same argument about who's the greatest Nick. If your only metric is who hits the highest notes or holds it longest then maybe, yes. BUT, you still don't have the Morissette swag, the power and that inner compass on how each song should be sang. Every version of hers on any song she's putting on a clinic! Let's put it this way, Morissette can sing better ANY other artists' songs but they can't do the way Mori does hers! I have the same feeling I had the first time I heard her over 4 years ago and listening to her daily. I'm sure its not just me! Btw Nick, this live band version of hers secured next month's rent! She’s a vocalist, performer, song writer and producer with crazy charisma. Says it all. The knock on Filipino singers is that, even though they’re great singers, they’re cover artists. They need to write original songs. Morissette and Dave have written originals with more to come.

There is something *SPECIAL* about this voice, and I'm not even going to touch on those crazy high belts. That's easy for her. *What sets her apart (for me) is her monstrous middle range!!!* Her mid-belts have so much depth and power, so much *PING,* with a powerful vibrato. Then she can add all those tasty distortions to her voice (i.e. growls, and that insane vocal cry/whistle tone). She could easily become a Rock & Roll front woman if she wanted to, ala the great Ann Wilson from the 80s rock band, "Heart". That's how crazy her vocals are. She can literally sing anything and produce an elite vocal product. *ANYTHING.*

To be fair Sheryn sings the hell out of this . It's just a fantastic song to be honest. Morissette, however , lives on another planet and as she always does absolutely masters someone else's song.
