I enjoyed this. Not because of anyone being right or wrong, but because these two young men were honest. They didn't retreat away or get angry or avoid any questions. When they didn't know the answer they simply admitted that they didnt know the answer. I also loved how the interviewer was polite and not overbearing. He respected these two young men and they respected him back. They both treated each other with love. Just because two people disagree doesn't mean they can't love each other. Well done on both parts. Great examples of Jesus Christ's love

Seen three parts. But from my own experience I know Mormons don't trust the biblle so no matter what verses you use they will see you as a contender, they trust only their feelings. If they feel bad they will reject your message and take it as contrary to the holy spirit. Excellent interview though. At first I thought they would walk away cause that's what they are trained to do.

Josh, these are the videos (part 1,2,&3) that I have been waiting for. Thank you for this interview. Through all the questioning and even slight confrontation, I admire that your goal was to plant a seed of TRUTH in them. I had so many questions about Mormonism b/c I happen to care about a guy who's mormon (and he's shown interest in me) but boy oh boy, this was an eye opener. All I can do is pray that he abandons the doctrine of his parents and find a TRUE encounter with Jesus. Thanks again.

Very well done interview, my friend. Most interviewers I've seen interview these Elders have interviewed them in a way that gives the message, "I'm only doing this to get a laugh, I really don't believe/care about anything you say." But you did this very well. You seemed very interested, as I'm sure you were, with what they had to say, and you were very respectful. I'm glad you had the opportunity to interview them. I believe these Elders, and yourself, did a magnificent job.

Outstanding video. Impressed by the respectful conversation without relenting on the truth. Last (first time actually) I spoke to Mormons at my door, I challenged the historicity of the BoM - which is very easy (as I'm sure you know). In the end, they had no response but a few minutes after they'd left, I realized I'd forgotten to present them with the Gospel - and I'm well-familiar with the Way of the Master - the way you presented it. I'll remember for next time. Good job mate.

To the mormons who view this, I know it's hard. I remember the feelings I had when Christians challenged my L.D.S. faith. But I finally came to a point in my relationship with Christ when I had to know the "truth" for myself. Not because what any person said, because I knew my salvation depended on it. I cried out to God, "no matter what it takes, I have to know Your truth." and He answered.

I think this was a great presentation of how all Christians should act when sharing faiths amongst each other. Both the Missionaries and this Man were very polite and welcoming to the messages of Jesus Christ. This is a clear example of the Love of Jesus Christ. Christians claiming to be christian that make videos trying to disprove the Mormon church are not christian at all. This was a great interview and I hope both parties learned from one another.

Awesome preaching brother, I would hope that it spoke to them but their religion has blinded there understanding. They will walk off and say that you were satan trying to divide them.They may even use this as a testimony in church that the enemy came in to destroy their faith.These people have itching ears all they can do is shake their heads and not agree while they node up and down saying yes with their body but no with their mouths.They admitted that it doesn't matter what the kjv says if it goes against their teachings then its false.HYPOCRISY to the fullest.

Both of those missionaries came from New Zealand which has English as their official language. So your assumptions of ESL is void. Also if you want to play the age card, I was only 20 when I interviewed them. Plus the questions weren't "fired", they were asked in a nice manner, and they answered to the best of their ability. If they want to be out converting people they'd best know their stuff.

Faith is a gift of God, as is repentance (2 Tim. 2:25). Our will is bound, so we do not have the freedom to choose God (Rom 3.) but rather we can only 'choose' to sin. That is why we need God to Sovereignly save us.

One of my favorite passages is about the guy on the right side of Jesus as he hung on the cross. He believed who Jesus was. Jesus told him today you will be with me. That guy had no time for works, it was ALL faith. I have friends that have said they'll repent right before they die. It WILL work if its a true repentance and belief in Christ. The problem is we may not get that chance. Also the heart hardens over time. When you are older, you may still not believe.

The difference on the works thing is that the LDS teach you must do works first before grace comes to save. The Christians teach that you have God saving by grace, then you have works as a fruit of salvation.
@JoshWilliamson
@JoshWilliamson 17 жыл бұрын
Look at the context of James. James was writing to those who believed that they could have 'faith' and never show any fruits (works) of having that faith. Anyone who has faith must produce works, but the works do not save. We do works because we are saved.

The Book of Mormon actually declares that grace only partially saves: "For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do." -- 2 Nephi 25:23

Here's something out of my non-LDS King James Bible (it is the introduction to James): "faith without works cannot be called faith. faith without works is dead, and a dead faith is worse than no faith at all. Faith must work; it must produce; it must be visible. Verbal faith is not enough; mental faith is insufficient. Faith must be there, but it must not be there alone. It must inspire action."

I don't prophesy, so you don't have to worry about me. "when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him. " - Deut. 18:22 According that Scripture a prophet must always be correct when prophesying. See also: Deut. 18:20

Also the LDS leaders have declared: "One of the most fallacious doctrines originated by Satan and propounded by man is that man is saved alone by the grace of God; that belief in Jesus Christ alone is all that is needed for salvation." (Miracle of Forgiveness, Spencer W. Kimball, p. 206.)
