I'm gonna show you how to fix a broken bucket handle. BUT FIRST, I have to show you why I've had to fix so many of them. Plus, I'll tell you the best bucket I've found to use EVERY day on the homestead.
Having animals on the farm is great, but you have to feed em. Every day. So, it's gotta go as smooth as possible. Come along in this video to get some tips!

Thanks so much for sharing bro! 💙🙏💙 While you're at it save your fingers by replacing (or if new just slide OVER) the cheapie quick disintegrating handle with a piece of ½" drip tube or PVC.

Check with your local Wal-Mart...they may be able to give you 5 gallon icing buckets from the bakery. They are food grade and durable. They normally recycle them but the store I worked at gave them away quite often. I brought some home for dog and cat food and such. Worth asking.

@@morethanfarmers I don't know if all Wal-Mart's do that but my store always did. If nothing else makes good for some food storage options. Like I said they are food grade buckets.

Hey Jason, nice video and pretty efficient process. While you have the handles off, may I suggest you put vinyl tubing over the plastic roller to extend or repair the roller which breaks after some use.

Thank you! That’s a very good suggestion. I’ll have to do that next time. I just get so used to the bare wire handle that I didn’t think to do it. It would be really nice to have more comfy handles.

You need one of those food grade 250 gallon totes on that trailer with a hose on it. No more buckets then. Thx for sharing.

Yeah I’ve thought of it.. it’s a good idea for sure. Just not sure if it would work quite right for me.. I should try it 😊

Interesting gizmo to hold the house to the buckets while filling. Store bought or home rigged?

Ha! It's actually a clamp that came with a heat lamp to hold it in place. I never trusted it for a heat lamp (too easy to knock down), but it works great for the hoses!

Hey Codi...do you feed shells back to your chickens? They say that helps with shell quality. Just curious.

I don’t.. It’s kind of a pain, and I feel like it’s not a good idea to give them a taste for the shells. I do feed them oyster shell.

@@morethanfarmers yes that makes sense. My daughter has chickens and she doesn't either and she never has a problem with shells. Just thought I'd ask.
